IRON MAN 3's Ty Simpkins Has Signed A 3 Picture Deal With Marvel Studios

Earlier I reported that Ty Simpkins was interested in playing Nova in a future Marvel film, in an interview recently, Ty confirmed that he has signed a 3-picture deal with Marvel Studios. Read on for details!

Earlier I reported that Ty Simpkins (who plays Harley in Iron Man 3) was interested in playing the Marvel character, Nova on the big screen. Saying in the interview he would be "Richie". Well Ty has now confirmed in an interview with ComicBook.Com that he has signed a contract with Marvel Studios that will continue even after Iron Man 3 . This does start speculation, was Ty correct about his character eventually becoming Nova in a future Avengers movie or even a Nova film?

Comicbook.com: So did you sign a multi-picture deal? Or is this a one time thing?

Simpkins: I have a three-movie contract; now there are two more movies left in my contract but I have to earn those role of course.

Comicbook.com: Well, a lot of people expect Nova to show up in Guardians of the Galaxy, so if that does happen you’d know pretty quick.

Simpkins: Yeah!

ComicBook.com: You didn’t get to wear the armor; would you like to do that eventually?

Simpkins: Yeah–I mean, I should definitely get to at least try on the suit, maybe trash a few cars–but I did get to try on the finger. That was pretty fun in the scene.

Iron Man 3 (stylized onscreen as Iron Man Three) is a 2013 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, produced by Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and the seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the first major release in the franchise since the crossover film The Avengers, and the third installment in the Iron Man film series. Shane Black directed a screenplay he co-wrote with Drew Pearce, which uses concepts from the "Extremis" story arc by Warren Ellis. Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as the title character, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprising their roles as Pepper Potts and James Rhodes, respectively. Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves as an executive producer and reprises his role as Happy Hogan. Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, and Ben Kingsley round out the film's principal cast.

Yeah, that was my guese right from te start... If downey doesn't sign on for any more Iron Man movies this kid will be the next Iron Man(jr) why else include him in this way?? And give him Stark tech?? They will go the whole Iron Man Armored Adventure route, and thus drawing a lot of kids to the bios (a real Disney move)... Marvel should have stayed away from Disney.. I knew something like this would happen .., (Frick)!!

didn't mind the kid in Iron Man 3, found him to be funny at times, however it did feel that there was too much of him in the movie, kinda of felt shoehorned in to the film

You guys are idiots. It's standard now for actors to sign a multi-picture deal. It doesn't mean they've gonna use him again, it just makes it easier for Marvel if they decide to use him again.
