Duncan Jones' WARCRAFT Is Set To Begin Shooting Early Next Year

The highly anticipated film adaptation of the popular video game, World Of Warcraft is finally gearing up. Producer Charles Roven has confirmed that shooting for the film will begin in early 2014.

A Warcraft film has been in the works since the dawn of time (feels like it). Almost every director under the sun has had a go at bringing this popular video game franchise to the big screen, the likes of Sam Raimi and James Cameron. But now it seems that director Dunan Jones, who is perhaps best known for his films Source Code & Moon will finally bring the huge game to the big screen. Man Of Steel producer, Charles Roven (who is producing Warcraft also) had a bit too say on the topic.

Producer, Charles Roven On The Project:

“First quarter 2014 we’re going to shoot that movie.” He went on to add, “We’re moving forward; obviously Legendary is making that film and I’m having a great time with Duncan.”

With no release date in sight, expect a late 2015 release date. With Comic-Con coming in the next couple of months we are bound to get some castings and more within the following weeks!

Warcraft is a franchise of video games, novels, and other media originally created by Blizzard Entertainment. The series is made up of four core games: Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and World of Warcraft. The first three of these core games are in the real-time strategy genre, where opposing players command virtual armies in battle against each other or a computer-controlled enemy. The last and best selling title of the franchise is a Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Expansion sets were also released for multiple games in the series, each adding more content to each game as an effort to expand the product lifespan of each.

Hope there is some cool action...please no sissy characters like Hobbits & such.
Only brutal warriors & savage races. it's called "WAR" CRAFT..don't need any "Fellowship".
