Man Of Steel has finally become that one DC Comics film Warner Bros' have been holding out for since The Dark Knight, the one DC film (other than Batman) to make more than $500 Million worldwide. Man Of Steel has been projected to finish on $271 Million this weekend (Domestic of course) with $300 Million being inevitable. Now with the success of Man Of Steel and Comic Con around the corner, a DC movie announcement wouldn't be out of the question. That being said, which DC Comics character do you want to see receive their own film within the next 3-5 years? Comment below and let me know!

Man of Steel follows the Last Son of Krypton on his epic journey to become mankind's shinning beacon of hope for a brighter future. With the beliefs and values instilled by his adoptive parents Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, a young Clark (Henry Cavill) sets out to find his place in the world. But when the nefarious General Zodd (Michael Shannon) arrives on Earth, Clark will have to choose between being a normal human or Kal-el,son of Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and humanity's greatest protector and champion. Filmed in IMAX and shot in Vancouver, Chicago and Plano, Illinois, Man of Steel will be released on June 14, 2013 by Warner Bros. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) with a screenplay by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) the Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Inception) produced feature film will surely be the summer blockbuster of 2013.

I think they should a MoS sequel with a World's Finest storyline implemented into it so that in turn can lead into a Justice League movie.
ManCalledSting - 7/7/2013, 5:54 AM
Meh, it was a good movie, but really nothing special story wise, Goyer really is not that good at writing. I thought the movie was to busy with not enough detail, or character development. Ive only watched it once, so I'll have to watch acouple more times before I really judge it. I mean, the first time I watched TDKR I loved it, then I watched it twice more, and really don't like it.
superotherside - 7/7/2013, 5:55 AM
I want a Flash movie! Also a Superman/Batman movie would be great!
ManCalledSting - 7/7/2013, 5:56 AM
Plus the climatic end was kinda lane. Zod's heat vision was in a straight line, the people could have crawled forward then to the side, or Supes could have flown or jump, or thrown Zod.

Those four innocent people should sue Superman for the trauma he brought upon them.

I can see the father speaking in court

"And then he just broke his neck.
My son saw it, my daughter saw it.
They are traumatized. Probably for the rest of their lives"
ManCalledSting - 7/7/2013, 6:02 AM
Jerry: Like The Incredibles all over again.
AmazingFantasy - 7/7/2013, 6:07 AM
So who gives a [frick] your kids saw an alien mass murderer get his neck snapped, kids are such pussies these days, and everything is WATERED THE [frick] DOWN.

My cosuin loved the fact he died, he said " Zod was a baddie and Supermaj should have killed him" I said " Yes, he was given no other option. Do you understand?" " Yes. It was cool"

He's 5.
ManCalledSting - 7/7/2013, 6:10 AM
Not knitpicking, but he did have other options. I mean in a movie with superpowered aliens are punching and throwing eachother around, he couldn't have thrown Zod, or jumped so his heat vision wouldn't kill those people?
MexicanSuperman - 7/7/2013, 6:18 AM
Man of steel ftw, frick the haters. If I was WB, I would make mos2, the flash, and a wonder woman movies before justice league, and then do an aquaman film, batman reboot, and a green lantern reboot.
LordoftheThrones26 - 7/7/2013, 6:21 AM
Man of Steel is the best comic book movie of the year! (Not incluiding Wolverine) Iron Man 3 was a shitty movie tha5 was so cluster[frick]ed it failed to give me a sense of closure like TDKR did! [frick] you shane black! ALL HAIL THE ERA OF DC!!! We'll FINALLY be getting movies based on the greatest Superheroes!
MexicanSuperman - 7/7/2013, 6:23 AM
@ oldgreg, a lot of superhero movie has stuff that you are complaining about mos
ManCalledSting - 7/7/2013, 6:30 AM
I'm not complaining, simply pointing out what I noticed.
CapA - 7/7/2013, 6:36 AM
Weak. It'll make less money than Iron Man with inflation/3D/more recognizable character.

How could they treat their best hero like this !?
Ocelot - 7/7/2013, 6:37 AM
Man of Steel 2 with a world's finest storyline with Hugo Strange/Luthor/Brainiac(computer form) as the villians.

Lex want's to ruin Supermans reputation and image in order to promote that he's the real Superman of Metropolis.

Strange is brought in by Luthor to understand Superman's psyche and to break him down mentally before developing an obession for Batman when he personally encounters him.

Brainiac's role is to analyse the biological background and nature of Superman so that weapons and counter-measures can be constructed to neutralize or potentially kill Superman.
CapA - 7/7/2013, 6:40 AM
@ Puny Parker "Yes, it was cool (he killed Zod with no other option)" <- when the so called intention from Sny-Nol-Yer was to show the moment from when and why Superman wouldn't kill anymore... Gasp*
Starkasm - 7/7/2013, 6:45 AM
Has super powered being at his disposal...insists on going himself.
Lol that scene in the car just before the tornado, I was expecting Clark to be sporting a big fringe and eye liner with all that angst he was throwing Jonathans way.
HavocPrime - 7/7/2013, 7:49 AM
Awesome news, and I would like to see Wonder Woman next on screen.
LordoftheThrones26 - 7/7/2013, 7:57 AM
AQUAMAN MOVIE NEXT!!!
TheYoungMan - 7/7/2013, 7:58 AM

I wonder what WB will do next besides Superman.
Whiteandgold - 7/7/2013, 8:15 AM
Wooohooo. Nolanites ftw!
ALmazing - 7/7/2013, 8:50 AM
This is a disappointment, movie and box office. Not the Superman we deserved.
sintzu - 7/7/2013, 8:56 AM
(which DC Comics character do you want to see recieve their own film within the next 3-5 years?)

i want solo movies of the main 4 in any order before moving on to justice league :

1- batman reboot
2- green lantern
3- flash
4- wonder woman

JakeMurdock89 - 7/7/2013, 9:25 AM
Luke Evans for Batman!!!
Gunslinger - 7/7/2013, 9:39 AM
Funny thing is... superman could have simply covered his eyes. Sure, it would hurt, but it's a better alternative, no? With that said, I don't have a problem with Supes killing Zod, there is a precedent after all, but the execution (excuse the pun) was pathetic. He could have dealt with it in a million different ways
Brainiac13 - 7/7/2013, 9:48 AM
Andy Murray wins Wimbledon

gmoney0505 - 7/7/2013, 10:38 AM
Im glad some of y'all was not Supes. Instead y'all would just through Zod around and maybe fight for another 2 hours and probably result in more people dying than just those 4 people. Like Batman told the JL in Doom, his action dont require any defense. In the same situation Supes should do it again. If you people cant see the potential danger of an out of control god with no way of imprisonment that killing him is his only option to save even more people, then you are even bigger fools than any criminal on the planet.

So I guess some of you would save one person to result in millions being dead.
marvel72 - 7/7/2013, 10:40 AM
yeah i must admit with repeat viewings man of steel isn't as good as i first thought,i gave it 4/5 but really thinking about it,more like 3/5.

@ brainiac3000

bout f*ckin time,73 years we've waited for a british winner.

did you watch it? i thought was a good match but i think anything is good after six stella's.
Tony93 - 7/7/2013, 10:44 AM
HE SAVED THE ENTIRE PLANET FROM BEING TERRA-FORMED..

THATS MORE THAN JUST 4 PEOPLE
Tony93 - 7/7/2013, 11:13 AM
I predict it will end between 600-700 million
TheSonOfKrypton - 7/7/2013, 11:32 AM
Andy Murray and 5 bottles of Pimms over Man Of Steel anyway, you British beast.
rusty28 - 7/7/2013, 11:55 AM
Well the second best cbm of the year so far deserves this
But it won't reach 300 domestically
rusty28 - 7/7/2013, 11:56 AM
Hey a brit won Wimbledon
I guess once every 75+ plus years is about as good as it gets for them
Brainiac13 - 7/7/2013, 11:58 AM
@marvel72

Yeah...I watched the whole match!

Nice day today and we finally got a winner!

Now we got to win the Football! We can hope!
CharacterAssassin - 7/7/2013, 12:07 PM
I before E except after C.

Anyways, they should fast track "The Flash" or "Wonder Woman."
MediaMan - 7/7/2013, 12:56 PM
Well, if WB royally screwed up Green Lantern... a character whose story should have EASILY translated into a great movie (far more so than the Flash), I don't know that they'll do a good job with any of their characters below Supes & Bats. Look how long they've been trying to do Wonder Woman.

And I don't think it's at inevitable MoS will reach $300m domestic. Possible, yes; inevitable, no.

Still questionable too if it surpasses TASM in total gross (foreign + domestic).

marvel(sony, fox, lionsgate, paramount, and marvel studios) has made their fair share of crappy superhero movies. ghost rider punisher and hulk got 7 movies made, yet dc/wb failed with green lantern and decided to not make any non superman/batman movies?
TheRationalNerd - 7/7/2013, 4:48 PM
Avengers was weak towards the villains motives! I'm. Sorry maybe it was just me but I'm getting sick of Avengers fans bashing every movie that's not made by Marvel/Disney. The threat in The Avengers was way weaker than that of Geberal Zod's. Zod wanted to save the Kryptonian race (with his own dark motives) while Loki went in a rampage in a city because if the lack of notice he received from Odin and jealousy of Thor?! Yeah I know he made ties with Thanos but overall I just went into the theater knowing that they were going to kick Loki's ass easily.

They showed too much in the TV spots so I was barely surprised when it came to the action sequences in the movie.

It's still a great film to me 8.5/10 however it's just wayyyyyyy too overhyped. Can't wait for Avengers 2.

I was having a conversation with a friend of mines earlier today in regards to the Man of Steel sequel.

So I guess I'm cool with a bats and superman team-up however I want to still see a green lantern sequel featuring John Stewart.

And a Batman reboot to give us a different feel if Gotham that isn't so realistic as Nolan's. I think he did a tremendous job with the Dark Knight trilogy. However I want to see Batman's full villain gallery! I think the Arkham games are a good feel for the reboot! :)
l0rdleg0las - 7/7/2013, 7:27 PM
I want Flash and Wonder Woman. Also that damn SuperMax origin for Green Arrow.
