EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Dwayne McDuffie on Adapting All-Star Superman
All-Star Superman is the animated film that explores what happens when Superman enters the sun and his cells become so over-charged that it's gradually killing him. In this brief exclusive interview, writer Dwayne McDuffie discusses adapting Grant Morrison's comic.

"It's superman dealing with his mortality," offers McDuffie. "That's really the clear central piece of it. Secondarily, it's the final confrontation between Superman and Lex Luthor, which is the conflict that has defined Superman's life."
McDuffie had one other point he wanted to make thruogh the various vignettes that the Man of Steel gets involved with throughout the film: "Superman is such a redemptive force, and one of the great things about the book and, I hope, the film, is that everyone who he comes into contact with has their lives made better. It's not like he keeps them from getting killed in a bank robbery, he flies away and they have a good cocktail story. He transforms them in a fundamental way, and as he prepares for his death, he also transforms the world in a fundamental way."
All-Star Superman will be released this February.
