Hugh Jackman, most famous for his role of Wolverine in the X-Men series, has had a cancer scare. According to Jackman, his wife became concerned with a mark on his nose and told him to see a doctor. Luckily he listened, and the doctors found it was cancer and treated it accordingly. He also states that it caused by the Sun.

Jackman took to his official Instagram to break the news. Along with a picture of his bandaged nose, he wrote: "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

The article says that this is the most common form of cancer, and while most survive, it can severly damage the skin.

Get well soon, Hugh!

Can't he just regen the damaged skin back?

In all seriousness, wish him the best of luck and hope for a quick recovery, the role wouldn't be the same without him

That's nothing. It'll grow right back (HA!). But seriously, skin cancer can be friggin' annoying. My granddaddy gets them all over his head because of all the field work he did on the farm when he was a youth.
TheBlackNerd - 11/21/2013, 5:07 PM
Love Hugh!

The guys like the cool Uncle I always wanted! lol
Good that they found it early. One my closest friends, who I consider a brother, died of stage 4 cancer last May. That sucked ass.
AshleyWilliams - 11/21/2013, 6:46 PM
Scared me to death with that title.

And my God, he still looks bad ass.
GetsugaTensho22 - 11/21/2013, 7:09 PM
That title is horribly misleading.
He hasn't been diagnosed with skin cancer, you twit.

A carcinoma growing on his nose, which was swiftly removed.

This is like saying that just because you have a mild head=ache, you've been diagnosed with a migraine.
It's wrong and misleading.

My reaction when I saw the title:

My reaction after actually reading it:

Had me goin' for a sec there, thought we'd lost the one man who everyone'll remember as the Wolverine.
MightyZeus - 11/22/2013, 1:02 AM
Glad his wife caught on to it and told him to go see the doctor.

Hopefully Hugh will be alright and recover from this.
DutchMovieFan - 11/22/2013, 1:54 AM
Yeah, misleading title. But it's good he'll be ok.

I love your thinking. Except, let's not all look to one man. Return choice to the individuals. Let information on cures and preventatives flow freely. The free market of ideas is all we need.
