The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

Book808 - 4/28/2012, 9:41 AM
Web shooters are a must. The fact that Peter can make them is there to establish that he is a genius. His intellect is more an asset to the character than his powers are.
Lizardking310 - 4/28/2012, 9:47 AM
Spider-man sucks !..... Yeah I said it ;)
mrHJK - 4/28/2012, 9:50 AM

mrHJK - 4/28/2012, 9:53 AM
I want this. Someone tell that SHS site to make a webshooter watch now
GLprime2814 - 4/28/2012, 10:12 AM
I have a watch that looks like that I've had for years, that's cool makes it more realistic that Pete would make his gear from everyday things.
dnno1 - 4/28/2012, 10:16 AM
Where are the cartridges?
Judecheung - 4/28/2012, 10:28 AM
Pete made this in high school
makes you wonder WT- are you doing in class
ibravosp5 - 4/28/2012, 10:31 AM
@Griffy what was the name of the site?
nowtheresaBATman - 4/28/2012, 10:37 AM
I'm sure somebody's gonna be making a Spider-Man watch that looks just like that web-shooter...If so I want one :)
nowtheresaBATman - 4/28/2012, 10:38 AM
@supersaiyanfan1 Hell yes.
TrueRedBlue - 4/28/2012, 10:56 AM
Ahh it looks great!
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/28/2012, 11:05 AM
I love how it is made out of a watch. It shows how intelligent and resourceful the character is.
SuperSomething616 - 4/28/2012, 11:08 AM
double barreled cylinder at the back on the 3d model are the web cartridges...
JonasWepeel - 4/28/2012, 11:33 AM
^^^^^yeah, pretty sure you see him load a cartridge in the trailer and it makes that pressurizing sound
Darkhaven - 4/28/2012, 11:59 AM
Yeah, it's cool that Peter could whip up webslingers, because he is a genius, and him utilizing his intellect to create synthetic spider strands is damn near miraculous, since current science is still struggling with it.

HOWEVER...as a several decades long Spider fan, I think that the move to organic webspinners was an intelligent one, due mostly to the fact that it embraced the spider aspects of his origin and took him in a new direction (personally, everything about the The Queen, and The Other, and Ezekiel and Morlun were [frick]ing brilliant).

If current Marvel head men ([frick]ing Quesada) were so keen to showcase Peter's intellect beyond his webspinners, they would have had the foresight to allow him to evolve his suit. In the real world, scientists are working to create super lightweight armor with spider silk because it's more durable and combat ready than kevlar, by an insane percentage. Spider-Man should have worked that into his super pajamas ages ago. He should have been spinning suits for a long time, outside of the brief one shot stories.

Shadow101 - 4/28/2012, 12:16 PM

masterhater - 4/28/2012, 2:42 PM
My vote is for organic.
rbfn04 - 4/28/2012, 3:58 PM
Hipster webshooters!!!!
thecomicdude23 - 4/28/2012, 5:44 PM
Awesome!
thewolfx - 4/28/2012, 5:48 PM
this is why oraganics are better then web shooters

* how the hell can pete afford materials for such an invention as smart as he is ..hes not rich or even confy

* what sperates him as a spider from any other bug if he cant produce webs ?

* the ol web shooters run out for drama ploy is dumb becuase you could fit that with organic webbing also , just beucase its organic doenst mean it cant run out

can people spit without runing out? hell no.. apply it

webshooters just look cool (its what fanboys will never say but know its true)
demonizer84 - 4/28/2012, 6:11 PM
im not a massive comic fan and when i see a movie i tend not to think about source material in depth, but when i got into spiderman i just thought he produced the web, then i remember watching the spiderman animated series in the late 90s n he had web cartidges, n i thought well thats a bit poo, then the raimi movies came out n as camp as they are now he produced web, he is a SPIDER man, n in the trailer of the new one he seemed to produce web out the back of his neck, anwyays, if he cant produce web, isnt he just a man who can climb up walls, i think producing organic web should be a part of him

I personally prefer the mechanical web shooters for nostalgia's sake. It isn't really a make-or-break aspect of the character for me... because I don't see how he's able to shoot webs being as important as that he can shoot webs.

That being said... the main problem I have with people saying things like "Organic web shooters are much better, because it's improbable that a high-school kid would be able to build a web shooter in their bedroom" I think to myself -- "If this were a realistic movie about a kid who's given spider-powers, and who had organic web shooters, he'd shoot the webs out of his ass, not his wrists."

Just saying...
AUSSYACE - 4/29/2012, 1:58 AM
Should of been under the costume not on top like a pair of watches...
UltimaRex - 4/29/2012, 5:35 AM
...

...

I don't care.

Organic, mechanical, it doesn't matter. Spidey has webs that come out of his wrists.

The end.

Case closed.
PeterParker1991 - 4/29/2012, 9:19 AM
This is the way it should have been from the start.
Bartman87 - 4/29/2012, 1:47 PM
I prefer the web shooters, everyone on here complains about how the suit doesn't match the comics but the has web shooters and most want organic because that is more realistic, bugger off give me a good movie that doesn't have the same crap as Raimi's
AUSSYACE - 4/29/2012, 8:20 PM
@TheShitsterMan

Fully concealed is what I meant...

Not too huge lumps on his wrist that glow as well...

Just like that comic book version above...
thisheart - 4/29/2012, 8:24 PM
