The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theatres July 3, 2012 in 3D!

"Put on, put on, put on, put on the mask." lol

This is looking good.
Ashes2Phoenix - 6/8/2012, 5:49 AM
Wow, that is a great new way of paying homage to the wrestling. He obviously gets his inspiration for the suit from it.

I think it is absolutely astounding to see this many practical effects in a modern film. Just goes to show how much effort they have put into this film. They deserve all the best, IMO.
Ashes2Phoenix - 6/8/2012, 5:56 AM
I think even if it is not movie of they year for everyone else. It will definitely be for us and that's all that matters, to be honest.
jessepostal - 6/8/2012, 6:04 AM
I think it looks great I'm excited, was never a big fan of the raimi trilogy
PeterParkersWeb - 6/8/2012, 6:11 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan

What about every other movie coming out this year?
Hobbit, TDKR and every other non comic book related film?

You are not gonna get laughed, flamed at and bashed, because you stand by your statement, but because you are just another ignorant hipster fanboy of TASM (which can be a good movie. Not hating)...

...and you smell.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 6/8/2012, 6:13 AM
I want a 200 million dollar plus budget to make a movie. It looks like a lot of fun, but also exhausting work.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 6/8/2012, 6:15 AM
@TheAmazingHipster

This movie was shot in 3D and not converted in post right? Because if that is the case, then I am definitely checking this out in 3D.
Ashes2Phoenix - 6/8/2012, 6:15 AM
Yeah guys it is looking really good. It's just a shame that not everyone is on board. When The Avengers was coming out people came rushing onto the comments sections to say how excited they were. Yet with this film there is a much smaller number. Complete double standards, IMO.

We obviously have not seen the film yet, so we still have no idea how this will all turn out but it looks like it is going to be great from what I have scene. I have pretty much really liked what I have seen so far.

The swing scene that was released has been my favourite. People have gripes that he does not move like Spider-Man enough but it makes sense because he is obviously learning. Some people have a natural talent for something but they don't become really good at it until they have practiced. Webb also stated in an interview that as he starts to become Spider-Man, the scope of the film widens and I think he also means the scope of Spidey's abilities widen. I mean if you look at the third trailer he is pulling off some pretty spectacular moves. I also loved the music score in that scene, it really romanticised the character and it brings home the fact this is the birth of a hero. If we have this kind of character development in the film it could really be very good, we will just have to wait and see.

So far everything that I have seen looks good and I have a feeling it is just the tip of the iceberg.

Anyone knows the title of the song you are listening to Peter at the beginning of the fourth clip?

Anyone knows the title of the song you are listening to Peter at the beginning of the fourth clip?

Please, this is important
Masterpace - 6/8/2012, 6:40 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan What makes PeterParkersWeb Raimi's fan? I don't know why in every news about new Spidey there's always someone who will start old trilogy topic...usually that someone is not you but still. We all know you're very excited about this movie and it's ok...there's no need to attack people who don't agree with you and didn't write anything stupid....BTW: Nice gif :D. Movie looks amazing I hope i'll give this movie 10/10 after the premiere. I would like to see the reviews and movie already.
JJarmstrong - 6/8/2012, 6:46 AM
stuntwork looks absolutely incredible on this, looking forward to it
CBMJamie - 6/8/2012, 6:48 AM
man...is it possible i'm starting to get more excited 4 this then TDKR??? ill probz be called crazy but all the teaser trailers 4 TDKR were boring IMO ... trailers were good but that's been it ... love this type of marketing ... makes you exctied to see the difference once this footage is edited 4 the big screen ... wish i could've been Andrew ... how fun do all his scenes look .. so cool ... psyched 4 JULY 3RD
Masterpace - 6/8/2012, 6:55 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan Did you lost something in your last post? If you didn't want to write "not" between "he" and "hating" then why would you call him Raimi's trilogy fan?

@RidiculousFanBoyDemands this movie is not converted it is in actual 3D.

Oh and I forgot to write something in the last comment:

@PeterParkersWeb What you don't understand about Hipster's statement "Movie of 2012 I call it right now"...You think he blocked out other movies? Everyone is entitled to their own opinnion and I hope he's right...or at least I want TDKR and TASM take the first place.
CBMJamie - 6/8/2012, 6:57 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan

i get ya man ... the humour in the TDKR TV SPOTS is so bad ... the only good 1 is the 'my wife?!?!' line ... humour works way better with spiderman
NeoBaggins - 6/8/2012, 7:05 AM
I'm a little more interested now, because Marc Webb was wearing a Jurrasic 5 hoody.
CBMJamie - 6/8/2012, 7:11 AM

thewolfx - 6/8/2012, 9:27 AM
hipster = tool of the century
RipperSavage - 6/8/2012, 9:32 AM
@CrimsonArk LOL! Anne Hathnoass!
I didn't know who Emma Stone was before this movie but she's so hot, Fanboys who normally want movies to follow comics should do a "Don't Let Gwen Die" petition!
NeoBaggins - 6/8/2012, 9:59 AM
@FanBoy It's not just shot in 3D, but with new 3D technology developed by SONY that should set a new standard- or at least that's the implication. I look forward to seeing that with the colors they have going on and the lights. If all else fails, the 3D and action will make for a novelty-fun time at the movies.
Emanuel14 - 6/8/2012, 10:38 AM
i cant belive there are still haters on this
Nighmarewalking117 - 6/8/2012, 10:54 AM
It's like they're watching you, with their eyes and nice video @darkmetal,very funny.
CrimsonArk - 6/8/2012, 11:03 AM
@ Chleofornication
The house is just like the one from the Sam Raimi movies.
And they (Aunt May and Peter) didn't start having money troubles until AFTER Uncle Ben died, because he was the sole provider of the household. Then it beame Peter's responsibility. What you should be asking is how did Aunt May still have the house in Spider-Man 2, and didn't move into a small apartment until Spider-Man 3.
They're a middle class family, and that's pretty much what the suburbs in Queens look like.
2 story houses that almost all look the same.
CrimsonArk - 6/8/2012, 11:08 AM
The Lizard bio outbreak almost looks like a zombie movie.
That's kind of cool, to add a little horror element to Spider-Man.
So this single movie almost covers all the major movie genres.
Action Adventure/Thriller/Romance/A little bit of Sci-Fi/Realistic Comedy.
That's pretty awesome.
So this is probably the most genre expansive comic book movie ever.
Phlegmbot - 6/8/2012, 11:52 AM
@CrimsonArk - Raimi's Spidey films had horror movie elements: The arms coming to life and killing the surgical staff, the black goo/alien in the 3rd (sorry to even bring that one up) and the subjective camera shots, and a few other things I'm forgetting.

Raimi's films were definitely uneven, but they covered all those genres you list.
CrimsonArk - 6/8/2012, 12:35 PM
@ BaneKill77
Get off of here you biased troll.
You want to talkmabout biasness, then whynis it you bash this movie every chance you get, but you praise TDKR every chance you get on it's articles? Feeling a little bit threatened?
It's a movie, it's obviously not healthy to hold a MOVIE in such blind rage, considering it's MOVIE. Something that's meant to entertain you. You're so pessimistic that it's almost like you're a parody of what every single stereotypical troll is like when they talk crap about this movie. We get it, you don't like it. Talking crap about it every chance you get isn't going to change the minds of people who want to at least give it a try. This movie will be a hit, and there will be a sequel. So get used to it, because this franchise isn't headed to Marvel Studios any time soon. Or should I say Disney? Because people seem to act like Marvel Studios is an independent company. If you don't want to see it, then fine. But complaining about it isn't going to do anything, especially since it comes out in a little over 3 weeks.
You don't want to see this because you think it looks bad.
Well, I don't want to see TDKR because I personally think it looks bad AND because of the constant fanboys that compare it to every movie coming out and saying it'll pale in comparison to it. A lot Nolan fanboy's sound like elitist douches who think their tastes in movies are far superior to everyone else's because they're obsessed with TDK.
CrimsonArk - 6/8/2012, 12:36 PM
@ Phlegmbot
I know that, but those were just a few scenes.
It looks like an entire section of the movie may be like this.
WelcomeBackFrank - 6/8/2012, 2:38 PM
I love that Andrew isn't afraid to do his own stunts and put his whole self into the role. Really looking forward to this movie more and more.

Anyone think that Webb might kill off George Stacy at the end of this or is the funeral they're attending for Dr. Ratha? Also, if Connors lives in this, does anyone else think Norman Osborn/Green Goblin will be the sequel's villain and Gwen will die? Sinister Six in the third or fourth movie?
Emanuel14 - 6/8/2012, 2:39 PM
@BaneKill77 soo, you are saying that TDKR humor os better than TASM humor??
awesomem131 - 6/8/2012, 2:42 PM
Can't we all just be happy that there's a possibility that we may get 3 great comic book movies this summer? I mean i loved the Raimi films(particularly the first 2) when they came out but even i can admit they weren't perfect. I always say That the Raimi movies where the Spidey films we deserved but not the ones we needed right now. TASM is the Spidey movie we need but it isn't the one we deserve. I hope that made sense;)
optimusbibby - 6/8/2012, 3:40 PM
@demonhunter15

hey cheers for the info man, what you've done is like walking into a shop and shouting "i'm not going to buy anything in here!" then walking out lol tit
jumpingJellybeans - 6/8/2012, 6:32 PM
@Ridiculous It is shot in 3D using the new Red Epic camera.
@Chloefornication He lived in the damn suburbs... Not a poor neighbourhood. Seriously, do you know anything about Spider-Man? I remember having to correct you because you were angry that the Lizard could talk, even though he was incredibly intelligent in the comics...
jumpingJellybeans - 6/8/2012, 6:34 PM
@Banekill I'm not gonna lie, but I believe you are being butthurt. I for one will be seeing both TDKR and TASM. If I see you bitching and complaining in the theatre for either film I will straight up deck you in the face and see if you live up to the Bane title.
