The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theatres July 3, 2012 in 3D!

Wow, that is a great new way of paying homage to the wrestling. He obviously gets his inspiration for the suit from it.

I think it is absolutely astounding to see this many practical effects in a modern film. Just goes to show how much effort they have put into this film. They deserve all the best, IMO.

@TheAmazingHipsterMan

What about every other movie coming out this year?
Hobbit, TDKR and every other non comic book related film?

You are not gonna get laughed, flamed at and bashed, because you stand by your statement, but because you are just another ignorant hipster fanboy of TASM (which can be a good movie. Not hating)...

...and you smell.

I want a 200 million dollar plus budget to make a movie. It looks like a lot of fun, but also exhausting work.

This movie was shot in 3D and not converted in post right? Because if that is the case, then I am definitely checking this out in 3D.

Yeah guys it is looking really good. It's just a shame that not everyone is on board. When The Avengers was coming out people came rushing onto the comments sections to say how excited they were. Yet with this film there is a much smaller number. Complete double standards, IMO.

We obviously have not seen the film yet, so we still have no idea how this will all turn out but it looks like it is going to be great from what I have scene. I have pretty much really liked what I have seen so far.

The swing scene that was released has been my favourite. People have gripes that he does not move like Spider-Man enough but it makes sense because he is obviously learning. Some people have a natural talent for something but they don't become really good at it until they have practiced. Webb also stated in an interview that as he starts to become Spider-Man, the scope of the film widens and I think he also means the scope of Spidey's abilities widen. I mean if you look at the third trailer he is pulling off some pretty spectacular moves. I also loved the music score in that scene, it really romanticised the character and it brings home the fact this is the birth of a hero. If we have this kind of character development in the film it could really be very good, we will just have to wait and see.

So far everything that I have seen looks good and I have a feeling it is just the tip of the iceberg.

@TheAmazingHipsterMan What makes PeterParkersWeb Raimi's fan? I don't know why in every news about new Spidey there's always someone who will start old trilogy topic...usually that someone is not you but still. We all know you're very excited about this movie and it's ok...there's no need to attack people who don't agree with you and didn't write anything stupid....BTW: Nice gif :D. Movie looks amazing I hope i'll give this movie 10/10 after the premiere. I would like to see the reviews and movie already.

@TheAmazingHipsterMan Did you lost something in your last post? If you didn't want to write "not" between "he" and "hating" then why would you call him Raimi's trilogy fan?

@RidiculousFanBoyDemands this movie is not converted it is in actual 3D.

Oh and I forgot to write something in the last comment:

@PeterParkersWeb What you don't understand about Hipster's statement "Movie of 2012 I call it right now"...You think he blocked out other movies? Everyone is entitled to their own opinnion and I hope he's right...or at least I want TDKR and TASM take the first place.

@FanBoy It's not just shot in 3D, but with new 3D technology developed by SONY that should set a new standard- or at least that's the implication. I look forward to seeing that with the colors they have going on and the lights. If all else fails, the 3D and action will make for a novelty-fun time at the movies.
