The Trailer for Lucky Luke!

Created by Belgium cartoonist; Maurice De Bevere, Lucky Luke has been released in both Belgium and France as of October 20, 2009, but no word of the live action film reaching American soil as yet. The film stars Jean Dujardin as Lucky Luke.

For those not familiar with the comic book:

"Luke, a wandering cowboy capable of drawing a gun faster than his shadow, fights crime and injustice, most often in the form of the bumbling Dalton brothers, Joe, William, Jack and Averell. He rides Jolly Jumper, "the smartest horse in the world" and is often accompanied by Rantanplan, "the stupidest dog in the universe", a spoof of Rin Tin Tin, usually guarding the Dalton brothers at their jail yet never preventing them from escaping. He refuses to smell Dalton's cloths and acts as a reverse indicator to Dalton's whereabouts."

hmm so is this comic any good can luke beat the shit out of jonah hex if not why bother ;p.

He's faster then his own shadow :P.
You can't realy compare it to Jonah Hex. It's written in a more comedic style. And nobody realy dies.

Hey guys @ Another great french cowboy production (Though its its filmed in english) is a cool comic book western called BLUEBERRY, check it out!!

Its a couple of years old but quite a CBM gem!!!

Based on a french comic book too i think. A very weird and original comic book western!!

@The Living Weapon- How is a trailer filled with gunslinging action gay? Brokeback mountain isn't the only movie to have cowboys in it y'know....this trailer looks really cool, i wish i could understand it but I can deal with subtitles. Unfortuantley I can see America deciding to "Americanize" it, just like they did with The Office, Life on Mars, Kath and Kim and all of that. What I dont understand is if all of these shows were English in language what is the point of doing an American version? There really is no need, I mean we understand all of the American jokes, do American TV networks really think that there own peiople are that stupid. I mean come on ti [frick].

Ryden- I agree with you. And i'd also like to add that no "americanisation" will ever capture the true feel of the french Luky Luke comics better than this version. This trailer right here is as precise as it gets. Thought by the same people! But i will say that "True Lies" was a great Americanisation cause "La Totale" sucked major ass LOL :P

I actually gave you one in caps lock LOL :P The french canadians use alot of church words as curse words. like:

Tabarnak
Sacrament
Esti- witch comes from "Osti" (the round paper thing people eat at church.)
Calisse

Those are the major ones. Their really funny when people say them on account of getting hurt LOL :P But that's "Quebec" french, it's a hell of a lot different than France French LOL :P Think of english and welsh :P

Hey Shaman do you ever get tired of George St.Pierre he is like all you French Canucks have outside of hockey. I've gotten tired of him he needs to move up to middleweight already so he can get his brains bashed in by Silva. Hell I bet alot of middleweights could take him, such as Henderson and Nate Marquedt. Unless of course you don't follow MMA then I'm probably just talking to myself.
