Owen Wilson to Voice Famous Comic Strip Character "Marmaduke"
Owen Wilson will be voicing Marmaduke in the Live Action/CGI adaption of the famous comic strip

Created by Brad Anderson in 1954, later with the help of Phil and Dorothy Leeming, Marmaduke has become one of the longest running comic strips. The strip involves the Winslow family who owns a Great Dane by the name of Marmaduke, that happens to create comedic relief in practically everything he does.
the film will be written by Tim Rasmussen and Vince Di Meglio, who brought also penned "License to Wed." The human cast includes includes William H. Macy, Judy Greer and Lee Pace. Bringing the canine voices to live includes Emma Stone, Fergie, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans and Marlon Wayans. Owen Wilson has been the latest member of the canine family.
Directed by Tom Dey, who also helmed romantic comedy, "Failure to Launch," the film will be based on Marmaduke finding himself in the midst of a turf war between Pedigrees and Mutts, all the while trying to win the affection of the leading lady purebred.
The film is set to be released in June of 2010.
Whispers68: I loved this comic strip on Sundays so I'm looking forward to the theatrical release. I just hope the film is done correctly.
