X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

I want to know how many people are actually going to see this movie. Somebody should do a poll. And when I say somebody I mean not me cuz I don't want to take the time to make it and I'm not that committed to knowing.

This movie is actually pulling me in to see. This movie has its flaws but I like Matthew Vaughn and McAvoy is a spot on Charles Xavier.

@TheLight DC got The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, and Green Lantern theyre doing just fine.

2 things:

CIA Headquarters are in Langley, VA, not D.C. (symantics)

If that's the same Striker from the earlier X-Movies, then the continuity is screwed beyond repair. Hopefully it'll be X2 and Wolverine's Striker's father or something...

At any rate, MEH.

Seeing this for support of Vaughn, McAvoy and Fassbender, no other reason.

MacTaggart's father or uncle is a telepath? Stryker's old? It has to be a reboot/re-imagining.

It looks somewhat interesting. Again, I say why keep re-using the same characters? Pre-House of M, there are a plethora of characters to use.

@Zer00 I dont think he even said Stryker, it sounded more like 'Strucker' to me, but the only 'Strucker' that was in the comics was Baron Strucker, a nazi and later the leader of Hydra, so that doesnt make sense... I guess its a made up character called Stricker (rhyming with sticker) and he's made up

and guys what's up with this fi$t a$$ stuff? I thought replacing the letter 's' with a dollar sign died out in like, the 80s, before I was born? How [frick]ing retarded.

Yup this movie is bad? But Thor doesn't losing memory, black Heimdall who isn't brother of Sif, and all other differences to comics in Thor movie are good?

@deamon when'd Thor lose his memory? And whats wrong with black Heimdall? he looked way cooler and much more majestic than the comic version, and a white guy couldnt pull off wearing that costume like Idris Elba did. He played the role perfectly imo, his voice was awesome too.

I think X-Men First Class will be great, but I'm sure Thor will remain the better film. No harm in that though, Thor surpassed almost every cbm I've seen.

brilliant scene! this gives me a little more faith after that horrible mystique spotlight trailer....that is my biggest concern over this film...how they will handle mystique.....i'm still 50/50 with this but this scene is awesome...good writing so far...

i'm still boycotting...regardless if its good! FOX still owes me for X3 and being arrogant bastards for using the first class title without Cyclops or Jean and because i have the feeling that if this film is sucessful, the sequel still won't have cyclops or jean, that's how f ucking stupid Fox is in my mind...i'm buying a ticket for Pirates of the Carribean 4, then sneaking into this....Fox will never get a dollar from me...god damn ultra right wing fascist company!

I dont like that they didnt use the actual first class but i will still see it b/c it looks like a good movie.And the mystique chick is hot....
