CaptainJackSpareribs - 8/27/2011, 9:31 AM
I have a 19/20 inch HDTV in my home office (where I usually watch my movies) and a upconverting DVD player connected via HDMI. So I usually buy the Standard DVD and it looks great. I watched Book of Eli and Avatar on Bluray and honestly you have to look real hard to tell the difference on that TV. Now the 32 inch in the living room is a different story. But as I said I usually watch movies in my office. I'll be getting this, Green Lantern, Thor, and X-Men: First Class. Can't wait.
Ghostfire - 8/27/2011, 9:31 AM
[frick] yeah!!! A must buy! Best CBM of the year!
Moonwalker1991 - 8/27/2011, 9:34 AM

TelaVizion: Where?
PaulRom - 8/27/2011, 9:35 AM
The site was wrong about the release dates for Thor and First Class (they said that they'd be released September 29th and November 1st, respectively, before the official dates were announced), so I'll wait for an official announcement on the DVD release.
PaulRom - 8/27/2011, 9:35 AM
*DVD release date
ROMACK - 8/27/2011, 9:41 AM
Can't wait to add this to my BD collection.

nordberg - 8/27/2011, 9:44 AM
So, I guess "The Assembly Begins" will be some kind of Avengers featurette...?
gambgel - 8/27/2011, 9:52 AM

superotherside - 8/27/2011, 9:53 AM

xXkryptoniteXx - 8/27/2011, 10:03 AM

WolvieCBM - 8/27/2011, 10:05 AM
I think Paramount will reveal a new cover for Blu Ray and DVD. These could be a concept or something.
dbapz - 8/27/2011, 10:05 AM
why do the 3D covers always look better than the normal blu ray editions :(
TheSkywalkingKnight - 8/27/2011, 10:09 AM
DVD COVER:

Ric - 8/27/2011, 10:12 AM
the cover looks awesome!
AlienRobotZombieOverlord - 8/27/2011, 10:17 AM
We need a Marvel One Shot on this that features Howard Stark, not a retread of one we'll already have on teh Thor disc. Hopefully that's just a placeholder.
GUNGRAVE1 - 8/27/2011, 10:19 AM
CAP,THOR,GL got to buy it.
dahamma - 8/27/2011, 10:38 AM
This and THor are MUST haves. Best CBMS this yr. WHy cant I get a Batman Arkham CIty skin if I buy THor? :P
CBArtist - 8/27/2011, 10:39 AM
They can't even do a version of the cover where he wears the mask? I'll pass on this one. I wasn't that impressed with the film anyway. The action was cheesy as hell and Chris Evans failed, in my opinion, as Cap.
CapA - 8/27/2011, 10:58 AM
Regular blu-ray for me ! ^^
ironknight - 8/27/2011, 10:59 AM
Movie was GREAT. Probably my favorite of the year. Seems way soon to release it though. But I'm definitely not going to complain.
whatevillurks - 8/27/2011, 11:05 AM
I thought they would wait till thanksgiving. Its a must buy. Was hoping for a director's cut though, I feel a lot of the mototcycle chase was cut(remember those scene's from the trailer when there are huge explosions next to Cap's bike?).
whatevillurks - 8/27/2011, 11:06 AM
ooohhhh....deleted scnes. nevermind!
FrankGarret - 8/27/2011, 11:13 AM
FrankGarret - 8/27/2011, 11:14 AM
@whatevillurks

I know what you mean. There was also that scene of Dugan driving a jeep and Cap and Gabe Jones firing machine guns from the back.

Marvel doesn't do director or extended cuts, sadly. Someday, though.
vermillion - 8/27/2011, 11:39 AM
If that's the real cover for the blu-ray, that's fraggin' awesome.
Fogs - 8/27/2011, 11:41 AM
@AsianET - nice of you to say that.

About the news, I'll buy the shit out of it. And Thor. And GL.
Paulley - 8/27/2011, 12:14 PM
Im still hoping the Iron Man 2 Shield Database will update after these two come out.... please.

Anyway yes i will be buying both this and Thor on blu-ray.. to sit along side my Avengers-prequel collection... ooh and i wonder what happened on the way to Thor's Hammer
HULK2099 - 8/27/2011, 12:27 PM
What happened getting to thors hammer??? O_O
fwg22392 - 8/27/2011, 3:06 PM
Anyone who says Cap wasn't good can go suck something cause that movie was awesome. They must have it confused with every Marvel movie before Iron Man.
Oh MATTHEW BOMER for DR STRANGE!!
PaulRom - 8/27/2011, 5:54 PM
Amazon added the covers for their listings of Cap's DVD/Bluray releases, so the covers themselves may be legit. Still iffy on release date and special features though.
OnLeatherWings - 8/27/2011, 10:35 PM
buyin it the day it comes out. along with Thor and X men First Class. cover is pretty sweet. iconic cover its a lot like iron man one.
LoudLon - 8/28/2011, 6:26 PM
I'm sorry -- did someone say CA:TFA's box office return is abysmal?

It's made almost $326 Million (as of this weekend) and is still going. How's that abysmal?

I'll be picking the DVD up. Loved the flick, IMO it's up there with Superman: The Movie, Spider-Man 2 and the first Iron Man as among the best superhero flicks ever made.
