Many thanks to Cinemablend and Newsarama for the description below:

* Feige asks if the crowd wants to see the Avengers trailer on the big screen. They do indeed.

* Pretty much every scene drew loud shrieks from the audience, culminating with massive cheers for the Avengers logo and the shot of the Hulk.

* Mark Ruffalo just joined the panel as a surprise guest. Gregg, Smulders, Hiddleston and Evans are brought out as well.

* Feige says they first brought up plans for an Avengers movie in 2006. The cast that we've assembled here is powerful as any of the characters they're playing," Feige continued, saying that Joss Whedon is working on the movie in the editing room at this very moment.

* Evans says that they all really got along when making the movie, and not in the cliche way that everyone says after shooting a film.

* "Loki is not a happy man," HIddleston says, adding that the character is "confused" about his place in the universe.

* "I can't say I ever got a day in jeans and a t-shirt," HIddleston says. "It was mostly leather and metal."

* Ruffalo cites past Bruce Banners Bill Bixby, Eric Bana and Edward Norton all as inspirations.

* "This is going to be a more mature Banner than understands a little more what he has under the hood, so to speak," Ruffalo said.

* Hardwick says not to record this. Ruffalo: "Don't make me angry."

* It was mostly a Black Widow/Bruce Banner scene.

* They showed a whole lot more than Hulk footage-- it was an entire scene between Bruce Banner and Black Widow, in which she hunts him down where he's hiding out in.... India? I think it's India. She says that Nick Fury wants him back, and when Banner asks how they found him, she says "We never lost you." They banter back and forth about whether or not he'll return with her, and just when he threatens to get a little angry, she pulls out a gun before you'd believe it. He backs down, says he doesn't want trouble, and eventually she gives the message to "stand down," where we see a flock of like 30 armed assassins outside the shack. The scene is perfectly paced, just a little funny, and really nicely focused on the characters. It was all around fantastic-- if the rest of the movie can have that kind of pace and sense of itself, we're in really, really good shape.

* But that wasn't all! It ended with a whole nuther trailer's worth of footage, cut around a conversation Tony Stark has with Loki, describing the group of people they've assembled and how he's managed to piss all of them off. There were action shots of everyone, including some that we've seen before in other trailers, and the same amount of Hulk-in-action that we saw in the trailer-- apparently they really are still working on those effects. It ends with a nice bit in which Tony Stark is needling Banner about how he keeps his anger under control. Captain America sternly steps in and asks "Is everything a joke to you?" Stark responds, "Funny things are." Perfect. Even funnier than how they end the trailer, if you ask me.

* The clip was followed by a sizzle reel from the film, including a shot of Stark Tower an a conversation between Loki and Tony Stark. Loki: "I have an army. Stark: "We have a Hulk."

* "The Hulk will be Mark's performance throughout," Feige shares. "He was there every day."

* They're on audience Q&A. How long is the movie? "We'll see," Feige said, since the cut isn't finished.

* Post-credits scene in Avengers? Hardwick: "Why don't you just ask them how it ends? Why would they tell you that?" Feige said it's a nice tradition, and he likes tradition, so they'll probably keep it up.

* Fan asks Feige about the possible Guardians of the Galaxy and Inhumans movies. "We're in pre-production of a movie called Iron Man 3 right now," Feige said, calling it "phase two" which will hopefully culminate in an Avengers 2. The last question he talked about how Guardians of the Galaxy would be its own movie and they won't be introduced in any of the other movies.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders, The Avengers is set to hit theatres on May 4, 2012!

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel’s The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

I hope this is 2-1/2 to 3 hours long. Sounds amazing! Looking forward to May 4th.
Jodez99 - 10/15/2011, 4:59 PM
Ok seriously why is Marvel not showing us this footage? If they can show 300 people in the IGN theatre then surely they can let the general public see it as well?
Jodez99 - 10/15/2011, 4:59 PM
3000 not 300

Best news here is the Evans comment about how they sincerely got along ... if that's true it would overcome a big potential obstacle in my mind; that the cast wasn't casted as an ensemble (see the original Star Wars cast) but instead are sort of thrown together out of necessity in making the movie. Let's hope that the congenial behavior translates into good chemistry. Looks good!!!

Sounds awesome!

I WANT THE FOOTAGE NOW!
Fonzieismypal - 10/15/2011, 5:26 PM
Aw. I was hoping this was news about a future Hulk installment. Oh well. I can't imagine they're hyping up the character this much without any intention of making another movie.
dahamma - 10/15/2011, 5:26 PM
the avengers:............. best movie of all time
dahamma - 10/15/2011, 5:27 PM
Glad to hear from Ruffalo! and to see how involved he is as the Hulk! He's my main source of excitement as of now!! PLZ give us a Thor vs Hulk fight!!
Hulk2008 - 10/15/2011, 5:27 PM
LOVE IT!!!!

Mark Ruffalo is going to be awesome! I do miss Norton but Ruf' has grown on me and I have accepted him as Banner/Hulk & won't doubt that Ruf will probably be the best actor to play Banner since (Bill) Bixby

Hulk2008 - 10/15/2011, 5:45 PM
@ForceOfLegend-I hope this is 2-1/2 to 3 hours long.

I would be shocked if the movie is not at least 2 hours 45 minutes long!

Look at some of the most successful comic movies that are action packed:

Transformers film is 144 minutes
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is 149 minutes
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is 154 minutes

Dark Knight is 152 minutes
NeoBaggins - 10/15/2011, 5:45 PM
Thank goodness; a more mature Banner. I was getting tired of all the buffoon Banners over the years with their slap-stick comedy and excessive joking.
Mechagino - 10/15/2011, 5:55 PM
So Thanos... come on!
brewtownpsych - 10/15/2011, 5:59 PM
its that "comedy" element that will ultimately prevent it from being a masterpiece in my opinion. studios think its necessary or the great unwashed masses won't like it but look at TDK, pretty much no comedy (except insofar as one might expect among two characters that no each other but even then it was subtle) but nothing like repeated lines such as "for a homeless guy he's pretty ripped" in Thor. don't get me wrong, its entertaining, but ultimately prevents it from being anything other than a great popcorn flick. actuallly, x-men first class was the best of the CBM movies precisely b/c of its more serious tone.
PeterDarker121 - 10/15/2011, 6:00 PM
Just a question, but as of the Avengers time frame, does the entire world know that Banner's the Hulk, or just those in SHIELD/MILITARY circles? Selvig mentioned that SHIELD gotta hold of him and he "hasn't been heard from since", but at the end of TIH, Banner is still on the run, or at least in hiding..? Hmmm...
brewtownpsych - 10/15/2011, 6:00 PM
^know ... wow, so much for being taken seriously
aRandomSinisterClone - 10/15/2011, 6:04 PM
New this wouldn't take long for dark knight rises bashing.
tripttwe - 10/15/2011, 6:15 PM
Jackson says that Ruffalo has a great smile. Evans says Downey ties the perfect knot in his laces- BLAHHHH!!! I really think they should start interviewing after the film premiere. That way they may actually have something interesting to say...
chuckg313 - 10/15/2011, 6:21 PM
sounds good except for RDJ constantly joking around it will be interesting to see how they make him some sort of leader
ckal - 10/15/2011, 6:24 PM
Brewtown- how can you say TDK had no humor? Joker provided that element pretty well to that film.
PeterDarker121 - 10/15/2011, 6:28 PM
@tripttwe I agree...I mean it's obvious everybody's contractually obligated to keep their damn mouths shut. I just watched nearly 2 hrs of live Comic-con feed which included pretty lengthy interviews with Smulders, Gregg, Chis Evans and Hiddleson, and besides pleasant chit-chat, I learned NOTHING about plot, story, etc. I really don't think we'll learn any new NEWS until the next trailer (which probably won't be until Super Bowl Sunday). Waiting everyday for new info is gonna give a friggin heart attack...and I'll friggin KILL myself if I die before May 4th.
brewtownpsych - 10/15/2011, 6:35 PM
ckal --- you think? popcorn humor? not sure about that, he was a seriously dark character, i don't think i laughed at all. black humor if anything.
Supes17 - 10/15/2011, 6:36 PM
Cool I guess...
It's like WE got to see it. I'm not going to "jizz" until I see the damn thing with my own eyes.
PeterDarker121 - 10/15/2011, 6:37 PM
After Tony and the gang get their asses handed to them by Loki early on, I think hell be a lot more serious. Also, Stark has a built-in chip o his shoulder towards Cap anyway, seeing how he knew his dad better than Tony did. I'm sure Cap will give him a speech about how his Father would be ashamed at his behavior, which should knock him down a few pegs. Cap IS the eventual leader, remember. If anything, Tony's a spoiled, only child and is jealous of what a 'good' guy Steve really is.
marvel72 - 10/15/2011, 6:42 PM
@ Evilos32

of course this movie will have scenes that make you laugh but it won't be forced on ya comedy, like didn't force comedy onto ya.

well at least you tell who they're ment to be,when i look at bane in the dark knight rises i don't see bane.that i know from the comics,if i didn't know bane was actually in the movie i would of never guess from that look.
marvel72 - 10/15/2011, 6:43 PM
"iron man" should be between like & didn't. :P
brewtownpsych - 10/15/2011, 6:54 PM
don't get me wrong, i'm not sure i'd want it any other way, after all iron man was titz ... in fact, i may not even possible to do a nolan/serious/uber-realistic thing with this many characters with such diverse and extraordinary powers. dunno. for me, again, i think X2 and First Class was about the perfect level of seriousness for an ensemble cast like this ... X2 in particular was very complex and had like 10 different story arc/conflicts going on.
Supes17 - 10/15/2011, 7:01 PM
Damn I miss that edit button
*It's not like we got to see it*
jazzman - 10/15/2011, 7:04 PM
why ppl keep on asking about Guardians of the Galaxy. but not mentioning characters like Black Panther, Namor, Dr Stranges, Heroes For Hire, Ant-Man movie
Supes17 - 10/15/2011, 7:06 PM
Looks like Bane to me
MatchesMalone1989 - 10/15/2011, 7:33 PM
Comedy. Avengers will be aimed at kids. :( Why did they sell the rights to Disney? Now we'll never get to see the type of violence and action I read in the comics. Oh well.....
NeoBaggins - 10/15/2011, 7:36 PM
The second Stark said his new chest piece tasted like "Coconut and Metal", I began to wish they would mature his character, or at least write better one-liners. He can still be witty, but he's bordering on clown at the moment. He's made enough mistakes and bad decisions to where he should be a bit more responsible and solid by now.

I know he had a come back for Rogers in the trailer, but I hope later on he really thinks about being an old ass loud mouth who's useless without his suit. I could respect a plot line like that, even more so if it drives him to drink. Hope they tighten up Fury too. He's been a component of the comedy relief but he might be different here. He seems more serious in the trailer even though "we get ready" is kinda dry dialog.
NeoBaggins - 10/15/2011, 7:38 PM
@Supes17 You made that?
ckal - 10/15/2011, 7:53 PM
Brewtown- I'll be honest man, I didn't read your entire post and I'm a little drunk right now. So if you said something i missed my bad. But I do think joker provided a good comedic element and I remember myself and the rest of the audience laughing at several parts with him. It was appropriate and worked well for his character. Good thing he brought sown levity at times because TDK would have been a little tedious without it. Joker was an evil character for sure, but some humor was a natural part of his character. Not just saying punch lines, but how he acted etc.

Most movies need some kind of humor to really be complete, and joker provided that for TDK. Not saying it's a perfect movie because it isn't and I have some issues with it, but a humorous character was essential for the tone.

That's my piece but I think it makes sense.
JohnTom88 - 10/15/2011, 7:56 PM
@NeoBaggins I think Marvel realizes the need of character varieties in team ensemble like the Avengers. There's no Wally West, Peter Parker, or god forbid Wade Wilson in the Avengers so who do you turn for that guy who don't take life as seriously as almost everyone - Robert Downey JR.

Thor - serious
Captain A - serious
Black Widow - serious
Hawkeye - serious snark
Banner - serious
Tony Stark - relaxed
