Set against the thrilling and exotic backdrop of a “galaxy far, far away,” Star Wars is perfectly suited to the immersive 3D theatrical experience, and Episode I delivers some of the Saga’s most stunning and spectacular sequences – from the Naboo invasion to the Tatooine Podraces to the climactic lightsaber battle between Darth Maul and the Jedi. Supervised by Industrial Light & Magic, the meticulous conversion is being done with utmost respect for the source material, and with a keen eye for both technological considerations and artistic intentions.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is the first film in the franchise to be released in 3D, and it's coming out on February 10, 2012.

Darth Maul, the underwater Monsters, and the final Lightsaber Battle were the ONLY good things about this film! Oh, yeah! And E.T.'s cameo was pretty Cool. :)

I know I'm in the minority but I think Episode I is the only halfway 'good' movie of the prequel trilogy. That said, it's still not very good and I doubt I'll pay to see it in 3-D.

All these posters are awesome. The prequels may be my least favs of the entire series, but I love watching the prequels all the same.

I will never forget the fun I had in the theater with all those fans that night in 1999, especially the fat guy dressed as Darth Maul or the young lovers dressed as Jar Jar Binks and Yoda (the girl was Jar Jar....). It's the only reason I like Episode 1. I recognize that it dumbed down the franchise but I still like it. It was the first Star Wars I ever experienced in the theater and it was more epic than most film that came out in 2011. I was a kid, Lucas was a god for introducing the franchise to my generation. I will see this film. An 18-month stereoscopic conversion is James Cameron acceptable standard. And a digital Yoda will be nice to see. Not to mention I agree with you guys about Darth Maul being at the forefront of these posters. It's tacky. I like the fourth poster because it shows the intensity and is engaging.

I thought Episode I wasn't that bad. Maul was a bada$$, the lightsaber fights were great, the pod-racing scene was good. Obviously Jar Jar sucked, and Maul's ending wasn't the greatest. But still, I enjoyed it.

I like the Star Wars prequels so Lucas will be getting my money. Yes. I'm one of those guys. My abiding memory of seeing that film for the first time is that it got a standing ovation at the end. First time I'd ever seen that for a movie.

The worst thing about The Phantom Menace isn't in the film itself. The worst thing is that it's now impossible to have a civilized conversation about Star Wars on the internet. I find that sad.

This 3d StarWars redux; - This will neither recoup its development cost at theatres nor on 3d Blu-ray. Its a dead-in-the-water turkey that has not been thought through properly.

Plinkett's review was a crock. Funny? Absolutely. Accurate? Hell no. There's quite a lot that can be complained about in TPM but Plinkett spent most of his time nitpicking over small things he claimed made no sense when in fact they did. He just wasn't paying attention.

The off-centered saber blade on the second poster is just sorry. And what's up with Mad-Eye Maul? Are they advertising one of the photoshop artist as Ray Park?

Vadakin, he does nit pick for comedic effect but I wouldn't say anything he says is inaccurate. Like Headlopper said it's just come down to what you're willing to accept/look over/forgive in a movie.

IF...IF....and only if.. Jar Jar is out of the movie or the voice and personality are changed, I might consider to sit trough this cosmic fiasco once more even if it is in 3D.

Those posters look really good.

I am so sick of all the Lucas Star Wars Prequel haters they act worse than overgrown children. If they don't like the Star Wars Prequels than that is their sad problem.

I like Star Wars and that's final.

What killed the movie was tacky humor, Jar Jar, Jake Lloyd's performance, George Lucas' crappy dialogue, and finally Darth Maul's empty dialogue.

Everything else was fine.

Should have started with Anakin as a teenager already, instead of 9 yrs old, and it shouldn't have been Jake Lloyd, should have been a professional. They didn't look very far or long did they?

From the posters you'd think ol' George had grown a brain & a dong and was shitcanning part one in favor of a replacement episode, The Darth Maul Story.
Not a bad idea, eh George? Bet ya could make some Real Money offa that and quit squandering the potential of the prequels. Well, maybe when you're dead and Nolan/Aranofsky/Whomever takes over..
