From Academy Award®--winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes "John Carter"—a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). "John Carter" is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.

Starring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins and Willem Dafoe, Mark Strong, Bryan Cranston, James Purefoy, Dominic West, Thomas Haden Church and Ciarán Hinds. John Carter is set to hit theatres on March 9!

Dead serious.
Disney must have spent at least 5-6 million dollars by now promoting this movie.

grif: Hmm... I don't know how long it is, but I do know that we haven't seen the whole thing. After he fights the White Apes, there is another battle.

i didn't relize they were white apes, but now you mentioned it.

they do look ape like.
WolvieCBM - 2/9/2012, 4:26 PM
marvel72: Yeah, those are the great White Apes. Stanton decided to change their look a little bit, make them bigger so they could be a challenge for Carter, especially in that Arena fight. I do like the movie look though.

Listen, i don't know anything about JC of Mars. Don't know how long it's been around, dont' know exactly what media it has existed in, whether it be comics or books or graphic novels. But i'm tired of seeing JC of Mars promos. there are so many appearing everyday and i'm just a little tired of it and turned off by it. I respect anyone who loves the storya nd are excited about the movie, but everytime i see a new pic or poster or banner or still...it makes me want to see it less and less.
