BOX OFFICE: Marvel's THE AVENGERS Passes $700M Mark Global In 13 Days!

More domestic and international numbers are now online, and the Joss Whedon-directed film The Avengers has now surpassed the $700 million mark worldwide...

Marvel's The Avengers is now a runaway train and it will be interesting to see when will the film hit $1 billion mark at the global box office. This past weekend the Joss Whedon directed film crushed the domestic opening weekend record with amazing $207 million in just 3 days (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part2 held that record until now). Thanks to Exhibitor Relations, here are the official numbers:

In just 13 days of release Marvel's THE AVENGERS has hit $702M--Int'l $475.8M, Domestic $226.4M

Internationally, THE AVENGERS swooped up $28.4M yesterday. Total is now $475.8M.

THE AVENGERS has already surpassed the worldwide totals of IRON MAN ($585M), IRON MAN 2 ($624M), THOR ($449M) & CAP. AMERICA ($364M).

Deserves every penny (or cent, depends on your geographical position). When films like Transformers 3 make over a billion I feel cheated. Cause it doesn't deserve the success. But The Avengers deserves every accolade it gets!

Tea@ The avengers was the best cbm ive ever seen, epic, funny and awesome action scenes, plus the whole group dynamic and stuggle was magical, loved it.

One Nitpick was the Thor/Hulk fight could of been a bit longer but it's just a nitpick :)
