@Rebellion - Or because they don't follow the games. That story has been told, and seen, and experienced. Now they just make homages to scenes in the game while telling their own story which I actually think has been more entertaining than what's gone down in the games. But hey that's just me.

as a huge zombie fan i must admit i have a soft spot for this pop corn flick, i just accepted the fact this is in no way representing the popular game i love but rather a different film altogether. and i love Milla too,that being said
i don't mind all the hate i'll still catch it if i have time to do so. lol

this would've been a good chance for a Chris-Leon crossover but unfortunately they removed both Redfields out of the equation. Now i'm more excited in the resident evil 6 game than the movie. tho i'm gonna watch this one!!!! this'd be action packed!

Im just very disturbed by it all, the franchise started off ok with the first entry which was the best, but that was it, after that it went on a constant downhill stride with Bad acting, Meh production values, terrible screen play, horibble dialog, Bad soundtracs, and low budgets.

Also them introducing a character that was never in the games as their main character? Milla Jovivich, who also happens to be the only character that was in all 7 movies, IDK mabye its me but I always hated that charater because she was never in any of the games, liked the actress though, another thing was that the Redfields are a huge part of the Resident Evil franchise why weren't they in it more, to me the erlier games were the true Resident Evils all the way up to part 4 after that they just turned into straight action games (very dissapointing) looking foward to part 6 tho.

So all this makes me just wanna sceam... REBOOT!
with nooo Milla Jovivich, and more talented & serious minded writers & directors that actually care about the source material. Reboot... we need REAL horror!

I hate how they [frick]ed up Leon. The actor they picked does not fit him AT ALL. I was alright with the films until I saw how bad they did on trying to interpret Leon. At least Ada looks like Ada and Barry looks like Barry.

Garbage is too nice of a word for how shitty these movies are. They only appeal to mainstream society because they're all insanely retarded. Any hope for a reboot is a waste because this will undoubtedly make enough money to justify another complete waste of time. The cast they get for these movies gets worse every time. Wentworth Miller as Chris?! Who the [frick] would even think that sounds remotely ok?! I don't even know who the idiot playing Leon is but I guarantee he will suck just as much, if not more. Sony has trashed/is trashing this property just like Fox has with X-Men. [frick] this series and anyone who thinks its good, you obviously have no taste and are easier to appease than a baby with a set of shiny keys.

They should have used a rewritten version of George A Romero's Resident Evil script from the start. A decent director for the franchise wouldn't of hurt either.
