The Host, directed by Bong Joon-ho (who is now directing Snow Piercer, starring Chris Evans) was a huge success back in 2006. The film was very unique and quite great, because of an interesting story and characters. The sequel was announced in 2007, but it seems that we can finally expect to see it sometime in 2013. Park Myeong-chan is directing The Host 2. The video below features our first look at the footage, and it's a big action scene. Check it out below:




As far as the effects goes, Twitch Film, has more info on that:

"The CG effects were produced domestically by Macrograph, the VFX company behind R2B: Return to Base (aka Soar Into the Sun), A Chinese Ghost Story and Stephen Chow's upcoming Journey to the West."
