Japanese Noir? Oh really? I bet the filmmakers have never seen a true Japanese Noir in their lives...they just like to throw around the word Noir because it's acquired an ignorant, fan-boy meaning of equating the term with Dark and Cool...bullshit. And "with tentpole action?" That's a retarded phrase. It's like saying "with a 3-act structure for the plot!" aderderder.
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 2/20/2013, 4:10 PM
[frick] yeah!!! what a [frick]ing awesome reveal... it's another suit. just look at that [frick]ing bad boy, sawwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

lmao... 10 years playing this character and thats the best suit they can come up with for the Wolverine. They've wasted a good 10 years of bullishting.
UltimateTypeface - 2/20/2013, 4:14 PM
He must get poisoned or something??

A few swords arnt going to bother Wolvie.

"More powerfull than ever???" - maybe he becomes Captain universe!
IIIAdamantiumIII - 2/20/2013, 4:18 PM
"you said there was a suit for me in here" *shinnnnnk*
ahhmynuts - 2/20/2013, 4:18 PM

IIIAdamantiumIII - 2/20/2013, 4:20 PM
and the closest thing to his iconic suit was in x-3 *sigh*
SpectacularJoShFest - 2/20/2013, 4:20 PM
OMG IS THAT AN ARMANi SUIT!?? I wonder where he got it.This movie looks so awesome...Armani suits rock and everysuperhero movie should have its protagonist wearing armani suits and not their original suits.No brainer.This movie is shaping up to be a FABULOUS movie.
In all resiousness,I do hope this movie will be good but that suit is shit. And he appears,apparently, in too many scenes wearing it.
LOL - 2/20/2013, 4:20 PM
Wolverine/Logan is one of those characters that I don't care if he was in costume or not. He's still one bad mofo no matter what he wears because he's the best at what he does and what he does isn't nice...

Also, back in the day, he was more comfortable out of costume than he was in it. He doesn't need a damn costume to define who he is. Yes, he's had a lot of iconic outfits over the years, but he's also one of the few who is just as iconic without a spandex type getup.
Shamo - 2/20/2013, 4:22 PM
amazing shot. can't wait.
DudeGuyMan - 2/20/2013, 4:23 PM
@ahhmynuts
Don't forget CHRIS HEMSWORTH as THOR.

i agree with the older the better comments!
marvel72 - 2/20/2013, 4:27 PM
come on mangold release something juicy or better still bloody.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 2/20/2013, 4:28 PM
@ LEVITIKUZ BECAUSE! lol

It makes the character complete . You can't have a Batman film where he never wears his iconic suit/mask. You can't have a spider-man film where he never wears his iconic suit/mask. The list goes on and on .

In a way its very insulting to fans when such iconic characters are misrepresented.
Jollem - 2/20/2013, 4:32 PM
rdjr. is good as HIS version of tony. not so much the comic version. same with hemsworth

chiklis as thing and urban as dredd and tobey as 60's spider-man are WAY better, for some examples
Mothchild - 2/20/2013, 4:34 PM
It could be a kimono
moviemaster1241 - 2/20/2013, 4:35 PM
I just want a teaser trailer!!! Is that to much to ask?
TheBeard - 2/20/2013, 4:37 PM
A horriable thought just crossed my mind. What if FOX in all their infinite [frick]ing wisdom deceided to give the Silver Samurai that dumb ass sword that can kill a mutant with a healing factor.
TheAbomination - 2/20/2013, 4:40 PM
**crosses fingers for this film to be rated R**
JDUKE25 - 2/20/2013, 4:41 PM
@LEV
Maxi91291 - 2/20/2013, 4:43 PM
I do agree that he looks cooler as Wolverine now that he is older
jimoakley666 - 2/20/2013, 4:43 PM
Cool photo. Really looking forward to this movie.
DanteSparda - 2/20/2013, 4:48 PM
Dat Wolverine! That pic is truly badass!! New background worth.

@IIIAdamantiumIII

Altought I would love to see him in costume too you have to admit that Logan's bare face is as iconic as his classic costume, it's one of the most recognoscible faces in comicbooks history and so far there hasn't been a strong reason for him to use a special costume with a mask in movies.

@darthdanimal

LOL!! It's you who don't know what a noir film is, it's a stylish and crude crime movie and the plot of The Wolverine it's just about that you moron.
ahhmynuts - 2/20/2013, 4:48 PM
@jollem
wtf then whats the comic version? theres no depth in that comic guy rdj brought iron man to life you ignorant fool. tobey was awesome but where's he now? plus after the first spider man movie it all went downhill. rdj keeps getting better and it looks like iron man 3 is going to be the best of the series. dont even compare someone with his own franchise to a supporting character. urban was awesome too but again...not even close dude.
faver - 2/20/2013, 4:55 PM
@IIIAdamantiumIII

I disagree. The costume is a defining part of Batman and Spiderman, but it isn't the same for Wolverine. Some mutants maybe; Magneto's helmet is a defining visual for the character, but I don't think it applies to all the mutants. I'll take good characterization over costumes any day.
0bstreperous - 2/20/2013, 4:56 PM
Here's hoping but if they had something worth showing by now....
CaptainProg - 2/20/2013, 5:01 PM
Suit or GTFO!
Nemeres - 2/20/2013, 5:02 PM
Rocketto?
sKeemAn - 2/20/2013, 5:02 PM
Still no trailer. Only teaser pics. At least he looks cool as Wolvie.
I still want a costume. In the early comic books Wolverine was a Canadian agent that needed his costume to hide his identity.
DeadManDann - 2/20/2013, 5:05 PM
@LOL

Absolutely agree. Characters like Spider-Man need their costume, but it's not the same for Wolverine.
marvel72 - 2/20/2013, 5:10 PM
the costume would work.......

gambgel - 2/20/2013, 5:11 PM
all these Perfurme for men shots are nice

but would be nice to see something more exciting
RamonSuarez - 2/20/2013, 5:12 PM
I am tired of Jackman.

I wanted another actor to play a more feral, berserk Logan.

But whatever, lets see how they approach this film.
nowtheresaBATman - 2/20/2013, 5:18 PM
looks like lon chaney in the Wolfman lol
Ghostt - 2/20/2013, 5:22 PM
Costume in an abstract dream sequence!

I know I have said it before, but it makes sense

Ya big dummy....hehe....jk, pour that shot
continuezero - 2/20/2013, 5:23 PM
Awesome that as he gets older we get that much closer to Old Man Logan.
OrgasmicPotatoe - 2/20/2013, 5:30 PM
I'm excited about the "no suit" thing. People really want to see the spiky eye-pieces and big blue gloves ?

I know i'd be utterly pissed off if they'd make Batman with no suit. But Wolverine is one of those one-in-a-million that fits better without a suit, in my opinion.

I see Wolverine as a lone wolverine living in the forest, doing what he wants to do and taking care of whoever gets in his way anyway he wants. A wild animal does not need to look like something else, a wild animal wants to look ony like what he is. And in that idea, I prefer having Logan dressing as a civil, rather than a superhero.

If they'd start marketing the Wolverine in the movie's universe (think of Spider-Man being broadcasted on the TVs on the street, the city keys ceremony), a costume would be good. But Wolverine doesn't interact with the public, he basically doesn't give an adamantium turd what the public thinks of him, because if they've got anything against him, he'll find them and kill them. Other superheroes might need a costume that can work with their powers.
Ocelot - 2/20/2013, 5:32 PM
@IIIAdamantiumIII wolverine doesn't really need the suit as it isn't integral to the character, like how batman and spidermans costumes are to those characters. Wolverine isn't a character who needs to hide his identity like the other two do. He simply needs to have his claws and adamantium body as those are integral to the character.It's just like how magneto and cyclops dont need their costumes, magneto only needs the helmet, whilst cyclops only needs the glasses. Costumes are needed for most of the x men, brotherhood or mutants in general, it's only needed if it adds to the plot, wolverine's doesn't
Ocelot - 2/20/2013, 5:33 PM
meant to say *aren't needed
Rowsdower - 2/20/2013, 5:42 PM
