As we wait for the official first trailer for The Wolverine, director James Mangold has been updating his Twitter profile with some cool behind-the-scenes photos. Now, he revealed a list of films that influenced his take on the popular character. Check it out below:

Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto and Svetlana Khodchenkova, The Wolverine is set to hit theatres on July 26, 2013.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed.
