"Best Dramatic Presentation" my ass. While I like The Avengers, it had the most forced bland drama in any cbm that I have seen.

Blackwater was badass.

@MexicanSuperman

Sorry Avengers wasn't dark and depressing like Man of Steel.

I'm sorry... [frick] that, I'm not sorry! lol Prometheus WAS the best sci-fi flick of 2012!! :D And it's visuals, make-up and acting were all truly astonishing.

I'm just maintaining my utmost faith that the sequel will deliver twice as hard!

@NegroMan

I enjoyed Promotheus, but you have to admit these characters were some of the most dumbest people ever assembled on an expedition. Fassbender was great in this movie though.

@ DudeGuyMan, a movie doesn't have be dark and depressing to have good, natural drama. While MOS had parts that were dark, it was not depressing at all, at least for me.

@ SageMode, you must really love MOS, because you always bring it up.

whether or not the avengers should even be considered for best dramatic presentation...winning over the hobbit and i'm sure many others? wtf?
Jollem - 9/2/2013, 10:25 PM
best quippy dialogue? sure
ScottMontgomery - 9/2/2013, 11:00 PM
@TheBlackMan I enjoyed Prometheus but the story was just so convoluted and the characters made so many stupid decisions! And we all know Looper was the best sci-fi movie of 2012
cosmicman - 9/2/2013, 11:44 PM

@TheBlackMan - 9/2/2013, 8:43 PM

Yeah, Prometheus truly were great looking. Avengers had some nice effects also. So did Planet of The Apes, Cloud Atlas, John Carter and the Hobbit (1).

But the prize goes to the "best" sci-fi/fantasy, and yeah Game of Thrones is great fantasy.

This year, the competition should increase, right? Star Trek (2), World War Z, Oblivion, GoT, Hobbit 2, Elysium, Pacific Rim, Gravity etc.

Not sure if the CBMs this year; Wolverine/Thor2/IM3/MoS really has a chance.
Amazing512 - 9/3/2013, 4:12 PM
Avengers had its dramatic moments. The part when Fury tells Stark that a missile is headed straight for earth and the Avengers are getting their a** kicked. Don't you idiots pretend that there wasn't.
Avengers is the best CBM ever as far as I'm concerned and it's got a thousand awards to back that up.
JorEllinator - 9/4/2013, 2:28 AM
If the actually GOOD episodes of Doctor Who were nominated we would have won.
Asylum of the Daleks
The Angels take Manhattan
The Snowmen
Really? The best episodes of series 7 were:
The Rings of Akhaten
The Name of the Doctor
Cold War
JorEllinator - 9/4/2013, 2:31 AM
Best Dramatic Presentation... Avengers
I liked the movie as much as the next guy but I didn't care one bit for the characters and you weren't supposed to. It was just meant to be a fun action movie.
Chucky2003 - 9/4/2013, 4:09 AM
Ugh,so now this is what a sci-fi movie is??,meh ,never heard of these awards
