BEWARE THE BATMAN Officially Returns May 10 On Toonami

It appears that the series' extended hiatus has finally ended. Beware the Batman won't return to Saturday Mornings but will instead air late night on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block.

Beware The Batman is a show that first aired in summer 2013 on DC Nation. While we don't know exactly why, the series was put on hiatus on October of that year. While it was supposed to return January 2014, the series was pushed back. Despite numerous beliefs that show would be canceled, it has been confirmed that it will return on May 10. And yes, this is 100% confirmed.

Due to the fact that reactions for the show were mixed, many were hoping the series would be canceled and it's DC Nation slot would be replaced with a different show. Good news. Those people don't have to worry. Rather than coming back to DC Nation, the series will instead air on Cartoon Network's Toonami block. Every episode of the series, including all 15 of the unaired episodes, will eventually air on Toonami.

The head of Toonami, Jason DeMarco, tweeted: "#Toonami fans- yes we are showing Beware The Batman, and yes we will be airing ALL of the episodes, including the ones that did not air!" New artwork was also tweeted:

Beware The Batman returns May 10 at 3 am EST on Toonami.

Series Synopsis: In the new CGI-animated series Beware the Batman, Batman is backed-up by former-secret agent-turned-butler Alfred Pennyworth and the sword-wielding heroine Katana against a rogues' gallery of foes such as Professor Pyg, Mister Toad, Magpie, Anarky, Tobias Whale and The League Of Assassins.

specialkail - 4/17/2014, 7:52 PM
So does that mean it is cancelled, they're just showing the rest of the episodes that hhavent aired?
HypeMusheen - 4/17/2014, 7:54 PM
OMG MY GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH
unknownfacts - 4/17/2014, 7:57 PM
So they're going to let them finish the series before they completely cancel it.You think that creating a new show after only one or two season would be get expensive.Guess they can afford it.
thebearjew - 4/17/2014, 7:57 PM
i dont like this show .... at all but then again i only watched the first 2 episodes
thebearjew - 4/17/2014, 8:00 PM
im not well verse in this show but i think that if they made it in 2D animation then i feel like more people would give it a chance
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 4/17/2014, 8:01 PM
Not gonna watch but I'm happy for the people that like it
darkknight2149 - 4/17/2014, 8:03 PM
@SpecialKail
They're showing the rest of the first season that hasn't aired yet and re-runs. I highly doubt we'll get season 2, though.

I thought Toonami only does anime? I don't have cable, so excuse my ignorance.
BritishMonkey - 4/17/2014, 8:11 PM
I wonder if it will somehow do better on Toonami than it did CN.
darkknight2149 - 4/17/2014, 8:12 PM
@BustASpideyPose
I think that's what they started off doing, but lately they've been airing other show's like Star-Wars: The Clone Wars and now this.
SuperiorMrGod - 4/17/2014, 8:15 PM
Wait this gets back on the air but not GL:TAS? Can someone explain this to me?
SpiderFraud - 4/17/2014, 8:19 PM
@darkknight2149

O, thats kinda weird, doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of Toonami, lol. Glad that they are still going strong.

@SuperiorMrGod
The remaining episodes of BTB are already made. They just haven't aired. This show was never cancelled, either. It just went on a long hiatus. GL was awesome, though. Bruce Timm is working on a new Justice League animated series, so I think we can get excited for that.

YES!!! Best Batman show ever. On par with, if not better, than Batman: TAS In my opinion. I really hope they don't just cancel it after this!
GuardianAngel - 4/17/2014, 8:47 PM
@bluedude This show wouldn't be as good as it is without the CGI animation. It's not wasted. They truly ise that format to draw you into that world. The cinematography is very engaging, especially for an animated show.
JamesMan - 4/17/2014, 8:47 PM
THANK [frick]ING GOD!!! I thought that almost every episode has been fantastic! The Humpty Dumpty episode was pretty awesome as well, very creepy. CAN'T WAIT!
GuardianAngel - 4/17/2014, 8:50 PM
I watched some of the later episodes online and, oh boy does shit get real. I get why kids wouldn't be too big on the show. I think it takes an older audience to appreciate the show to its full capacity.
thebearjew - 4/17/2014, 9:21 PM
I also really really dislike this version of alfred
thebearjew - 4/17/2014, 9:21 PM
good to see toonami getting some love on here
JamesMan - 4/17/2014, 9:22 PM

I'm still young and spry Sid, I've been up since 5:30am!
soforizo - 4/17/2014, 9:31 PM
Not my favorite animated version, but it's a decent enough.

Pfft! Bring back young justice!
Epicboy - 4/17/2014, 11:10 PM
Good thing toonami's getting beware the batman, but it seems like a lot of cartooned works reject shows keep getting dumped on toonami after Getting the shaft. Star wars clone wars, symbionic titan, and thundercats all cancelled way before there time( except star wars).
RedRocBoy - 4/17/2014, 11:15 PM
Really don't understand the hate for this show. Thought it was awesome. I grew up on the Bruce Timm era and freaking loved every show he produced. Beware is a different show and I like it. Really wish people watch and it gains some good ratings show them that us adults appreciate these shows more then the kids do. It would be awesome if Toonami had a a DC block. Young Justice,Green Latern, Bewar thevBatman and Batman Beyond. That would be so epic.
StingyFox - 4/18/2014, 1:25 AM
How about you cancel this show and bring back Young Justice, WB?
SwagInScience - 4/18/2014, 3:32 AM
And I'm just over here like, "when the hell is Batman: TAS coming to Blu-Ray?'
Brainiac13 - 4/18/2014, 6:29 AM
I'm glad.......good show.
Brainiac13 - 4/18/2014, 6:33 AM
Yeah.......YJ and GL shows were better........shame.

I read somewhere that they were planning on a new Justice League show that would air before BvS just like Marvel did with the Avengers cartoon.

TheFox - 4/18/2014, 9:57 AM
Dammit... I would MUCH rather see Green Lantern: The Animated Series make a comeback. But oh, well...

NoPhucksGiven - 4/18/2014, 10:46 AM

TheGDBatman1 - 4/18/2014, 11:23 AM

LorenzoVonMatterhorn93 - 4/18/2014, 11:51 AM

TheSavorings - 4/18/2014, 11:58 AM
"Meh", if they said they were bringing back Young Justice that'd be different...
jimdotbeep - 4/18/2014, 12:18 PM
They should have burned all the episodes. Are the people who made this seriously not embarrassed they created such a horrid piece of shit?!
questionhound - 4/18/2014, 12:50 PM
Saw all of Young Justice recently in 3 days. It breaks my heart that that show was cancelled to make room for Batman fighting his less known rogues. I WANTED TO SEE DARKSEID TEAR SHIT UP
Klone - 4/18/2014, 12:59 PM
Loved YJ because it incorporated so many aspects of the DC Universe. Still don't get it was cancelled... most episodes got like a million, sometimes two million, views... shows like GoT got about a million views per episode for the first two seasons and I highly doubt YJ has a higher budget than that.
