The last Asian Bond Girl was Michelle Yeoh in 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies. She used the exposure to help catapult her career into the international market.

According to reports from Hong Kong, LUST, CAUTION and WU XIA star Tang Wei is sitting atop a short list of female stars to become an Asian Bond Girl in Sam Mendes' upcoming Bond film. The other top contenders include Fan Bingbing, Li Bingbing, Shu Qi and Josie Ho. - Twitch Film


Producers of the new James Bond film have reportedly interviewed over a hundred actresses for this part and the narrowed it down to the list above. Tange Wei is assumed to be at the top of the list. She has very strong English skills, but more importantly her management company is one of the larger investors in Bond 23.

Craig's third outing as James Bond will be released on October 26, 2012. Daniel Craig will be joined by Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, as well as a Judi Dench as M.

I thought they already casted the Bond girl.

I wish they would get legit actresses to play the Bond girls. Eva Green was good, Olga Kurylenko (?) was decent.

Tang Wei looks underage and the rest really dont impress that me that much even they look hot.
I rather see someone like Li Gong. She is classy and beautiful. No to teengirls.

Couldn't really say for sure which one I would like the best. Of course, they're all attractive and MOST of them are actually hot, but then again, looks aren't everything! They would need to have true acting ability and a definite presence to impress me. Especially when they're paired up with somebody that is such a beast as Daniel Craig! lol But here's to hoping that they find SOMEBODY for the role, because they've been looking for awhiile and we have heard a lot of rumors. Just pick somebody good and be done with it! Make it happen!!! :D

yeah Eva Green was amazing, because her character wasn't the typical bond girl, meaning she wasn't just there to look good and let bond get his. she actually had a purpose in the plot and her character was actually interesting. they need to go back to that and not go back to the sex toy bond girls with innuendo names.

the second one looks too mixed. Shu Qi's already in Transporter. the rest are just not up to standard.

Shu Qi is adorable, beautiful-!, and has a hot bod too. She's also a pretty good actress. Her chemistry with a leading man (Transporter) was good, so she could probably play well off of Craig.
