Besides praising Pierce Brosnan, Dame Judi Dench also revealed that she will be working with Johnny Depp again as she returns for the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Dame Judi Dench, 76, has been playing the role of M for 16 years. She made her first appearance in a Bond film in Goldeneye. The latest Bond film, Skyfall has just started filming last week. The plot is expected to center around M, the head of MI6, and her past. Skyfall will be Judi's seventh film in the franchise, and her third alongside Daniel Craig as 007.

"Daniels an incredible talent and I love working with him but I still miss Pierce,"

"He was a very warm man and always a lot of fun, always laughing and joking. Pierce was great to have around the set. We became close friends."

"I did four Bonds with him so I missed him after he finished with the role."

"There's no comparison between him and Daniel. They're completely different actors but both are brilliant men with a fantastic sense of humor, very self-mocking, which you need to play Bond.

"But you miss anyone you make a relationship with and you think at some point you'll maybe cross paths again. And I did, with Pierce, in a play. If you get on with somebody well, you never really break that."

Is She Anything Like M?

"I suppose I'm a bit like M because there are bits of me in every character I play," laughed Judi. "But I dont think Im anywhere near as bossy as she is. Id be chucked out the house if I was. I just like playing M being very, very cross and keeping Bond in order is a lot of fun."

She loves being recognized as M. "Its very nice when people come up to you and just say hello," said Judi.

"I walk everywhere when I'm in New York and when people recognize me they come up, give me a high five and say good work now thats simply wonderful."

Pirates of the Caribbean 5

But it has had its benefits such as playing opposite some of the worlds most handsome leading men like Pierce and Daniel, 43. And also Johnny Depp, she added with a smile. She met him during her cameo role in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and in 2000 movie hit Chocolat .

"Ive made a number of friends over the years, but someone I particularly got on with was Johnny," she said.

"Hes absolutely delightful and full of integrity. Hes a passion of mine and I can't wait to work with him again in the next Pirates film." - people.co.uk

Skyfall, Craig's third outing as James Bond will be released on October 26, 2012. Daniel Craig will be joined by Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, as well as a Judi Dench as M.

I may get flack here, but I have to give it to Pierce Brosnan.
I liked Casino Royale, but Quantum was a terrible film
and showed the weakness of Daniel Craig in the role.

Brosnan is bond.
The new movies are good action movies but....[frick]ing terrible BOND movies. Its just terrible what they did to the bond series. They couldve been true to their fans and at least kept Q branch.

Moore did to Bond what Adam West did to Batman...both made caricatures of their roles. Bond is a cold blooded hitman for the British government in the novels while Batman walks a thin line between good and the villains he's trying to bring to justice. Notice how MGM and EON spent 12 years trying to undo the damage done by Moore...View to a Kill came out in 1983 and Goldeneye came out in 1995, which for a lot of fans was the turning point in modern Bond...Moore nearly killed the character.

@jbak368 Really good cheese.

@geoff Casino Royale was nearly a word to word translation
of the book.Q branch appeared for less then a paragraph
in the whole book series.
But I get what you mean. The movie version of this character
has been around so long that Craig's movies really felt
off.

@Canon108 Yeah right the only reason Moore was kicked out
was because he was to old.
The reason for the lack of movies after Dalton(not Moore)
was because of law suits not a damaged character.
Get your facts right.

Wish all Franchises would learn to do like Bond. We know who he is just get on with it. No need for and origin story every other flick.

@m1312020
yeahhh i guess you're right. But they added gadgets and q branch early on and the majority of films have gadgets except for the newest films. Thats something you cant get rid of in a bond film.

It's a shame that Pierce Brosnan didn't get better scripts during his run as Bond. Goldeneye proved that he was a great Bond, and even in the other not so good outings, he still played the role very well.

As big of a fan I am of Pierce Brosnan's Bond, I really like Daniel Craig in the role. He feels like a very modern James Bond.

1. Daniel Craig
2. Pierce Brosnan
3. Sean Connery
4. Roger Moore
5. Timothy Dalton

George Lazenby just wasn't a convincing James Bond. Perfect example of a miscast.

Both are great but Goldeneye is still my favorite Bond movie.
I think Jason Isaacs would have been the greatest bond ever if he was cast. He is like a mix between Brosnan and Craig with Brosnan's charm and Craigs badassness.

@m1312020 I agree with your sentiments. I do feel sorry for Brosnan - he could have been close to the best, given the chance to work on Casino Royale. His movies had a fair amount of cheese (nowhere as much as near as Moore's). I think people are giving Daniel Craig far too much credit just because the producers decided to go down the modern route with him. No disrespect to his acting but he still looks like a German boxer to me rather than a suave superspy. Connery is still my fave. Retro cool and style.

Daniel Craig is my favorite because he has the most action. The chase scene at the begining of Casono Royale is just pure awesomeness.

@jbak368 The main problem with A View to A Kill was Moore
was way to old for the part.It was very unbelievable for
him to do this part anymore.I don't feel its even close to
the worst Bond movie I've seen.Quantum of solace,You
only live Twice, and Diamonds are forever are far worst
then View.
You don't even want me to get started on the none MGM films
never say never again and the Peter sellers Casino Royale.

Just a suggestion: Why do the polls have to be one or the other? Why can't there be an option to vote for both of them?

They are both great Bonds for their respective times, there's no reason to choose between them.

:)
