Well well well, it looks like Skrulls could be in The Avengers after all is said and done. This is a toy product that Idle Hands snapped some photos of at the Toy Fair. You can clearly see some purple aliens that bear an uncanny resemblance to the alien creatures known as the Skrulls! Idle Hands' Paul Nomad had this to say about the images he took:
"SO...are the aliens in The Avengers Movie SKRULLS after all? You tell me! Why make a board game based on the movie and just randomly throw Skrulls in there? Does this mean they are absolutely in the movie? Of course not..but this is pretty convincing."

Idle Hands also points out that on the dice in the images below seem to sport symbols that are consist with the Skrulls.

As you can see in these MTV Geek exclusive images, the enemy pieces for the game, while pink, will be very familiar to Marvel Comics' fans. To our eyes, theses little pink wonders from "The Avengers" Mighty Battle Skill and Strategy Game look like the spitting image of the shape-shifting Skrulls! While the Skrull's involvement in the upcoming film have been denied; this coupled with the recent Superbowl ad makes it very hard to argue that they don't play a large part.

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!
