Met with a lot of negativity and criticism from fans, Ultimate Spider-man cartoon managed to pull satisfying numbers for its host channel, Disney XD, hence a second season is in the works and has been to confirmed to debut on January 21st with 1 hour special.

One of the many complaints of the the webslinger fans was the lack of use  for spider-man's famous villains in the series. A complaint that seems to be addressed with the released titles of the first three episodes of the second season, which you can see below:

It had potential but there is too much focus on spider-man making jokes and its ridiculously light tone
makes it hard to take the show seriously
cut down on both of those then maybe it would be enjoyable

i think a combination of Spectacular spider-man and Spider-man of the 90's cartoon will definitely give the greatest spidey animated series.

I watched most of the first season of ultimate, and the episodes were pretty bad from the point of view of an adult spidey fan. The finale was OOOKAY.

hopefully season has less jokee, less spidey friends and more focus on spidey as a solo.

the show should come with a warning: MAY CAUSE ADHD

Ppl should understand that this show is for kids its a way of introducing cb characters to young children like BTBATB has done. Fanboys will soon have young justice back with avengers assemble starting but remember a lot of cartoons aren't aimed for us even though a lot of us still enjoy them lol

A show can be for kids and NOT be a total shit-fest.
This show is a shit-fest.
