While dropping his mega-scoop, regarding Harrison Ford's come back to the star Wars movies, Elmayimbe also revealed to Foxnews Laitno (at the end of his video reveal), that Man of steel has been screened to Warner Brothers execs, who seem to have gone crazy about the movie.

The movie is apparently so great that it will have no issue being the superhero movie of the year, beating Iron-Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and The wolverine.

What do you guys make of this? Will Zack Snyder's take on Super-Man beat established heroes like Iron-man and Thor? And if, indeed it is that successful, what does it mean for the impeding, and long overdue, Justice League movie? Let us know in the comments section.

Of course they went crazy - a lot riding on it.
jessepostal - 2/15/2013, 7:51 AM
Usually it's a bad sign when the execs love a movie
Nick56 - 2/15/2013, 7:51 AM
Good to hear. Its my most anticipated superhero movie (or any movie for that matter) of the year
ClaireLannister2016 - 2/15/2013, 7:51 AM
Here's hoping this is actually true. Cause I'd hate for a GL incident: Where we heard bunch of positive pre-reviews but in the end the movie sucked
Jaspion - 2/15/2013, 7:53 AM
Well, if I'm not wrong they also went crazy with TDKR, so this doesn't mean much... I hope it's good,it looks, though.
GeneralZod1138 - 2/15/2013, 7:55 AM
No worries here.

Spideyguy94 - 2/15/2013, 7:57 AM
Good news easily my most anticipated movie of the year.
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/15/2013, 7:57 AM
Man I wish I was a majority shareholder. I would've gotten an invite and would've probably needed 50 pairs of underwear.

@Claire,

GL was embargoed until the release. It didn't exactly warm up to the execs.
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/15/2013, 7:59 AM
@Jaspion,

Lots of people liked TDKR. Only fans and nitpickers hated it. So the execs were somewhat right. Anyways if they can appease 80 percent of the market, the've done their jobs.
superotherside - 2/15/2013, 8:04 AM
Why couldn't I have been at that screening? Not fair.
RobertGarlen - 2/15/2013, 8:04 AM
Doesn't mean jack how good or great the movie is unless they promote the hell out of it. They need to make it so that ever man woman and child within the range of earth knows this movie is coming out. I suggest they sign a deal with a cellphone company to advertise their phones, and the phone company sends texts to everyone advertising MOS about a month away from release. Cover every station, comic, hell even advertise in vogue and glamor or something just make sure this movie is seen, i don't want to wait 20 years for another Superman Movie.
LMB10 - 2/15/2013, 8:07 AM
'The movie is apparently so great that it will have no issue being the superhero movie of the year, beating Iron-Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and The wolverine.'

Stupid saying that now, considering nobody's seen any of those three except one screening for Iron Man 3, which we've heard nothing from due to embargos.
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/15/2013, 8:07 AM
@batz

GL came along really late in the 90's he wasn't as iconic when he was Scott, old Hal pre parallax, Stewart, or Gardner.

GL got recognition when they started writing Kyle which was the start of the revitalization and then when they decided to go back and feature Hal that's when popularity went through the roof.

That's really not fair to compare Superman and GL.

Superman and Batman has been in the forefront of Comicbook entertainment since their inception.

I am calling it now. MOS is going to be the biggest movie of the year. I also think IM3 is going to be the best IM yet. It's going to be a close match between them. MOS ftw- I'm saying it's going to gross 700 million, with IM coming in a close second at 600 mill.
KilledHal9000 - 2/15/2013, 8:10 AM
its Superman and Iron Man
ThePresence - 2/15/2013, 8:10 AM
Agreed
Mystery - 2/15/2013, 8:10 AM
I hope Man Of Steel grosses more than Titanic
ThePresence - 2/15/2013, 8:11 AM
Agreed that MOS will take the win, but only by a very slim margin. And both movies are going to be excellent.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:13 AM
I really can't take any of Elmayimbe's scoops/news serious after that Planet Hulk/WWH Phase 3 news.I do believe that MOS will be good.I don't know about it being the best CBM this year.We will see.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:15 AM
LMB10 They've had a screening for IM3?!I didn't know that.But they're still shooting scenes for IM3.
OriginalGuardiansPlease - 2/15/2013, 8:17 AM
this is also the movie im most looking forward to this year. It will be interesting getting used to the no underwear thing but if the movie is great i can live with it
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:18 AM
I just read @jessepostal and a few others comments and you're right, these are WB execs and they would say the movie is great when it could be shit.Like I said,we will see.
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/15/2013, 8:20 AM
Of course execs would love it Marvel79. Why would they sell something they don't like?

The fact of the matter is, this is a positive note. You can never have enough people loving it.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:26 AM
@FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin WB tried to sell us Green Lantern.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:28 AM
Like me and a lot of people here have said before,WB is filled with dumb ass execs but still I think MOS will be good.
ComicFan523 - 2/15/2013, 8:28 AM
Man of Steel is my most anticipated CBM of this year, I hope it's good.
Dev7 - 2/15/2013, 8:29 AM
Well if the Executives of a studio who is spending 200 million on a movie is going to say it is good then it MUST BE GOOD, PERIOD!!! Stop the presses!!! We've got Avatar and Avengers rolled into one here. -_-

I'll believe this when I actually hear some of the reviews coming in for it around release time and not before. It's very pretentious as well to assume it's going to be better than Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and The Wolverine. I remember the execs also liking another comic book movie which turned out to be a steaming pile of crap. Yes, Green Lanturd.
fceeviper - 2/15/2013, 8:29 AM
I hope so, Superman needs a blockbuster, ASAP!!
marvel72 - 2/15/2013, 8:31 AM
can't wait to see man of steel, its not my most anticipated comic book movie of 2013 that goes to thor the dark world.

but the highest grossing is gonna be out iron man 3 & man of steel.

man of steel vs man of iron in 2013.
DCjohnny - 2/15/2013, 8:34 AM
obviously its gonna be outstanding.... no dough its gonna beat all the superhero movies of 2013.... i knew it when i first saw the teaser trailer.....
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:34 AM
These execs are supposed to say their movie is good even if it's garbage. With Snyder,Goyer, and Nolan(even though I'm tired of hearing his name)on board to do an origin Superman movie, this film is in good hands.
MrReese - 2/15/2013, 8:38 AM
Its gonna b movie of the yr watch
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 8:39 AM
@marvel72 Thor:TDW is my most anticipated too.The Wolverine is at the very bottom of my list.I might not go see Wolverine but find somebody to download it for me.A trailer and good reviews could change my mind though.
StrangerX - 2/15/2013, 8:45 AM
Besides the Robin debacle and Bane's death I liked TDKR, and like most movies there might be some things I wont like. However, with MOS I'm sure that it will Amaze.
JayJayCAW - 2/15/2013, 8:48 AM
its "so great" huh.....hows about share the love with us the fans you greedy WB exec bastards lol
ElBicho - 2/15/2013, 9:08 AM
Good news, but you can't trust 3/4 what Elmayimbe says.
JerBear - 2/15/2013, 9:25 AM
"The movie is apparently so great that it will have no issue being the superhero movie of the year, beating Iron-Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and The wolverine."

How can a movie be so good that it would no doubt be better than 3 other unseen movies? The only way that could be true is if it's TDK/Avengers/$1Billion+ good, not that I'm hoping it won't be or that I'm betting against it.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/15/2013, 9:33 AM
@blackandyellow I keep forgetting about Ron Burgundy and his crew. That's another must see!
Gnyah123 - 2/15/2013, 9:34 AM
so since WB ppl got to see the movie and loved it...does that mean they are moving forward with a JL movie...or are they making us wait til man of steel hits theaters to see how well the numbers do...??
TheYoungMan - 2/15/2013, 9:44 AM
@FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin

"Lots of people liked TDKR. Only fans and nitpickers hated it."

If by "fans" you mean "Marvel fans", then you're right. But they also hate BB, TDK, and anything Nolan. So that doesn't mean much.
Netman0007 - 2/15/2013, 9:51 AM
BRING IT ON!!!!!! YEEEAAAAAAAAAHH!!!! THE KING IS BACK BABY!!!
CavEl - 2/15/2013, 10:13 AM
Man of Steel will be great, Singer didn't screen Superman Returns to the execs because he knew they would hate it.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 2/15/2013, 10:19 AM
Not much of a supes fan but I am looking forward to this film due to the director alone. I love all of his films
Gusto - 2/15/2013, 10:21 AM
Thank God!!!!!

CavEl - 2/15/2013, 10:22 AM
And I was wrong last year, but I doubt I'll be wrong this year.

Iron Man 3 will make more money, but Man of Steel will be the better movie.

Iron Man 3 - 800 Million
Man of Steel - 580 million
Thor 2 - 525 Million
The Wolverine - 390 million
Mugwamp - 2/15/2013, 10:24 AM
Guys, I happened to be visiting family in L.A. and ended up watching this screening. My uncle is in the business. I can tell you that it was unbelievable! That is all.

----dramatization: may not have happened.
G - 2/15/2013, 10:27 AM
Whenever I pay $250 million for something, I tend to love it, too.
TonyChu - 2/15/2013, 10:27 AM
They said the same about Green Lantern but at the same time I do have a great feeling in regards to this film. Can't wait!!
Shamo - 2/15/2013, 10:28 AM
could go either way. Snyders last 2 movies were shit and majority of Goyers scripts are also shit. but i did love the trailer and it does have a great cast, so who knows.
bbarber2323 - 2/15/2013, 10:31 AM
I got to see it. It was epic. You guys, we are all in for a major treat. Seriously may be the best CBM ever. No bullshit.
