It looks like fans of comic book movies had best move east of the Atlantic, as yet another release date has been moved forward! According to news site Den Of Geek, the film's release date will be moved forward by one day to July 31st, rather than the US release date on August 1st.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

@0mega
I'm glad that it's only a day also, Iron Man 3 and Thanos' big reveal in The Avengers mid credits scene were both ruined for me

Should try to get as much space from TMNT as possible. Both movies will benefit from it.
TheAmazingMSV - 5/16/2014, 12:45 PM
@DanteSparda that's what I was thinking too how's it opening a week early if it's just one day
Melkaticox - 5/16/2014, 1:07 PM
@soforizo Yes, because we totally want TMNT to succeed. With how great it looks...
DeusExSponge - 5/16/2014, 11:19 PM
Well at least it's not like the last few super hero movies where it's released a few weeks ahead of US/Canada.
