JUDGE DREDD Sequel Unlikely
Last week rumours of a Dredd sequel began floating around after Karl Urban revealed talks were on. Unfortunately, Collider's Steve Weintraub has revealed that the chances of a sequel are unlikely. Hit the jump to find out why!
Rumours have been flying about in the past week that a sequel to 2012's Judge Dredd was in the works, after Karl Urban revealed that talks with Lionsgate were in progress. Unfortunately, Collider's Steve Weintraub revealed, via AMCMovieTalk, that the sequel isn't likely. Here's what he had to say:
From what I've heard, Dredd was sold with different film companies around the world. I sent some emails around to find out what's going on with the film. Lionsgate only have the rights to a domestic release. If a sequel is going to be made all the companies that paid for it would need to be cool. It'd be pretty tough to pull of, I'm 99% sure it isn't being made
