Lou Ferrigno Says Hulk is in the Avengers Movie!

I stumbled across a "Nuke the Fridge" interview that may (or may not) confirm that the Hulk will in fact appear in the Avengers.
It's a video interview with Lou Ferrigno aka the TV Hulk! He says he is involved with Avengers so cameo or Hulk voice? you decide but to me this seems like a confirmation of Hulk in Avengers.

Hulk is an essential part of Avengers, especially a first movie. And why put that Tony Stark cameo in TIH if Hulk won't be in Avengers?

Here's hoping for a Bruce Banner cameo in Iron Man 2!

Hard to take this news seriously really seeing as the video is something like 9 months old! Still, I think its fair to say that its 99.9% likely that we'll see The Hulk in The Avengers one way or the other!

Like InTyler said "why put Starks cameo in the Hulk if he was'nt going to be involved in the Avengers. THE HULK IS A MUST HAVE! I would be so close to not even going to see it in the theaters if he was not in the movie. I just hope he fights someone, that is worth the hulks time fighting.Im thinking from what I have read, that the Leader and the Abomination will show their faces in the Avengers, we can only wait and see. Im crossing my figures that he fights Thor or someone at some point. I was piss off at the X-men that Juggernaut and Colossus didnt fight. WTF was that? How dont you have a fight scene with two of the heavyweights. OH wait, they spent a big chunk of the budget on a sorry ass scene with Magneto moving a bridge, when he could of just flown over. >=(

There is no reason in the world that the Hulk should not be in the film!! He could play so many different roles in the movie, enemy to friend.. friend to enemy it could work so many ways.. Cheers to you Lou, if the Hulk does not appear for some reason you deserve a cameo anyway!!

Lou was awesome on King of Queens. It was always great to see him in an episode.

I hope Kevin Feige came to his senses and isn't using the "Marvel Super Squad of 3" instead of the team of Avengers :)

I met Lou back in 2000 at Venice Beach. He is a cool cat. He gets older and looks better and better. Arnold gets older and looks older.

TYLER: same here man!! Hawkeye is one of my favourite Marvel characters (i just wish he'd drop the Ronin identity over in the comic books!) though id like to see him set up in Iron Man 2, id be happy for him to be introduced in The Avengers in a similar way to how he was introduced in The Ultimates!

Im still on the edge about wasp and ant-man. I mean they did the characters well in the Ultimate's, with the whole domestic violence and all, but a transfer to the big screen, is hard to see for me. I really want SpiderMan but I know that High hopes, and he just might be better saved for an Avengers 2, After they get Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst out. Sorry, I like Tobey in first movie, when I saw how built he got for the role, he got my vote. I liked him in the second film but he fell off by not working out. He lost my vote in the 3rd film, the whole film. And I dont place all the blame on him, it was mostly Sam Raimi and Ivan Raimi for their script.Dunst! I have never liked her as MJ, she is not a MJ in my book. But its time to start the franchise over after that. Lets see how Raimi, dose with SM4, The Evil Dead,The Shadow or Warcraft. Even thought hes just a producer in many,I hope he dose'nt repeat SM3. But I will have faith and cross my fingers.

Dont worry, he'l be Hawkeye again when he is forced to murder Bullseye for the name;)

To be honest if the Avengers is just Cap, Stark , Thor, Hulk and maybe Widow, Fury and War Machine behind the scenes I'll be happy. Would Hawkeye, Pym and Wasp make it better> Maybe, maybe not..could very easily be overkill. Either way, i doubt you will see them so either accept it or prepare to be very disappointed.

I would love to say this is a confirmation I really would.
But heres a prime example of why this stuff should not be taken for gosple.
I went to the London Film & Comic Con mid july and met with Danny Trejo (From the fake trailer "Machete" in Grindhouse) and I asked if the full length Machete film was happening and he said yes they begin filming on july 27th. I was hyped as hell but production has still not started on Machete...

Lou Ferrigno is the man! Technically he is the official man to come to when the Hulk needs to be portrayed properly so Im glad when he is featured in the Incredible Hulk and the Avengers. I love the TIH cameo when Edward Norton is amazed by the size of Lou when he stands up.

Oh and have the original line up for the Avengers movie, Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, Hulk (first as enemy manipulated by the main villain then kickass team member) but add Hawkeye, Vision, Black Panther and any of the others in sequels because the first movie should set up the main team and have audiences get used to the main team. Then once people like the Avengers then introduce other awesome members in the sequels. Too much characters in the first movie, it ends up like Spider-Man 3 and the potential greatest superhero movie ever will be [frick]ed up

I can see the Hulk being the reason that the Avengers form. Doesn't Tony Stark talk to General Ross about his Hulk problem in the cameo. That implies to me that Iron Man and Co are the solution.

LEE: Man, i sent it back because it wasnt charging and a week later (last Friday) i finally got it sent back to me with a new battery...without the freaking plug!!! I called Acer up and now I have to call 2moro to see whether they've either found it or are gonna send me a new one the useless bunch of idiots, lol! I couldnt manage without a laptop much longer so I went and bought a universal power adaptor for the time being (which I'll return once i get mine back, hehe!) Sorry to hear about your internet problems...you'd think in 2009 that we wouldnt have to put up with this crap, lol!?! :)

and thats why I said he would be manipulated by a villain because Hulk would normally be a good guy but a villain working in the shadows controlling him would make him the villain for the start of the movie and then when the Avengers go to fight him it leads them to the true villain

Bring Lou back over and over again, Marvel ain't the same without that big lovable badass!

I for one will be very disappointed if Hank and Janet Pym aren't in The Avengers movie. They are 2 of the very first and founding members! That is just stupid and unforgivable not to include them! Why does Hollywood have to screw so much with comic book stroylines. There is no need to mess with core stories and characters!

I don't mind if Hulk is in the Avengers movie, I just don't want the whole team to have to fight him just to keep him in control. I hate when the Hulk goes berserk and other heros have to stop him! He is supposed to be a superhero so he needs to act like one!!

Also I TOTALLY agree w/ LEE...Hank pym and wasp should be in the Avengers movie in some way even if they don't have big roles in the movie. They should be in it, if for no other reason then to set them up for Avengers 2.

Why is everyone so worried if Hulk will make the Avengers film? I highly doubt the conversation between Ross and Stark would have taken place at the end if the Hulk wasnt going to be on the team. What else would Ross have to do with the Avengers, he aint on the team, nor does he have any affiliation with the Avengers. Stop worrying, he will be in it for F**k sake.

@Retro, you're logically right! It only makes sense with Ross there and all. I'm sure we'll see the HULK but I sure wish they would announce that Hank and Jan will be there too!

One thing I always wondered about the HULK...why would he try to fight people who are on the side of justice, at all? The Hulk is an extension of Bruce Banner's inner personality and he is always for justice when he is in his right mind so why wouldn't he be motivated by justice and right when he is the HULK.

The madder he gets then the more he would hate injustice, I would think. He works from Anger not evil arrogance like Emil Blonski-Abomination. So why would he ever fight the other Avengers? He would never get mad at his fellow Avengers but instead angry at evildoers they constantly battle against

Just a thought!

Hank Pym and The Wasp should be prominent in the first Avengers! They were there at the beginning as definite members of The Avengers...not just back-up characters! That is bullkrap to make them just supporting characters, total BULLKRAP!

Ant-Man and The Wasp were technically Avengers before Captain America, so they should definitely be in the movie. I think the producers/director could incorporate some pretty cool CGI effects for both of them.

A single Hulk cost $150 mill,and with other superheroes the Avengers budget may overshoot $250+..and thats a lot of money to risk.

Personally speaking,The avengers gonna bomb if Hulk is absent.I m dying to see some day,maybe Maybe May 5,2012 hulk kicking the crap out of tinman,blue guy and Mr.hammer and off course the villains:)

first of all its not a "justice" thing with hulk. he's not fighting for justice, nor injustice, he's just a raging monster, he's not in control of himself. in the comics, there have been times where banner has been in complete control of hulk, and could even talk just like a normal person. there have also been times where he couldn't form a single word, just screaming. typically, over the years, the "SMARTER" hulk has been, the WEAKER he is. but at the same time, the smarter he is, he's more of a team player. only recently, during planet hulk, has he been able to form a solid link between the two, hulk is now as smart as banner, but as strong as he's ever been, making him nearly impossible to beat.

also, something everyone needs to realize, is that the hulk was an avenger VERY briefly. there are plenty of other characters that were not only avengers for a longer period of time, but that also were more integral parts to the team. i don't see him being this "integral" member of the avengers that everyone says he is on this site. founding member? yes. but he was only an avenger for the first 3 issues...

Of course the HULK will be in Avengers movie. Lou even said it himself. Why would Tony Stark visit General Ross in the Hulk movie? And why would Ed Norton make a cameo appearance in IronMan 2?? You wiil see Norton's name appear as Bruce Banner on the critics for IronMan2. The Avengers movie would suck if the Hulk is not in it and would not make up for the cost in production budget without Hulk. It will cost around $200-$250 mil. to make the movie so for the Avengers to be a success, first Hulk has to be in in with Cap, IronMan and Thor, and the movie will have to hit at least $400 million to be considered a success.

I actually had a bad experience with Lou Ferrigno one time, not as bad as that guy in 'I Love You, Man', but enough to not comment...

But Hulk should be in the Avengers movie, and their first mission should be to round him up after he goes AWOL. If they take care of that in the first 30-45 minutes, they'll have time to add another threat he can help them with.
