Earlier this year, what is arguably a prequel to the 1979 masterpiece, Alien, was released, promising us some answers on the origin of the Xenomorphs. Unfortunately, we didn't get most of those answers due of the film's reliance on sequels. We can, however, get an idea of what director Ridley Scott's original vision or intentions were for the film, now that alternative make up designs have been released:

Despite not being as scary as the original Chestburster scene in the 1979 film (for example), which is by no means a surprise, these designs are more disturbing than the ones used in the film, at least, in my personal opinion. Prometheus arrives on Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital download on October 11. I actually prefer the one they used in the film. Doesn't look like plastic melted in his face in the alternate make-up.

I saw these on another site awhile back. What I wanna know is if we will see this design in action on the Bluray. I've seen a few more stills so It seems like they did fully render the scene with the CGI character. But maybe not.
