Edward Norton: "I am not in Iron Man 2."

The Incredible Hulk star has responded to the rumours that he will cameo in 2010's Iron Man 2.
While in Toronto attending the International Film Festival, MTV News tracked down Edward Norton who addressed the rumors that Bruce Banner/The Hulk will appear in 'Iron Man 2'

"I heard that. I don't know where that's coming from. I am not in Iron Man 2 to my knowledge."

Even though there's still no word on where Marvel plans to go next with the Hulk franchise — or if Norton will return for any future films — it looks like they haven't approached the actor to reprise his role as Bruce Banner... yet!

well, they didn't film either of the two other previous cameos until just weeks the film was ready to be distributed so I suppose there is still time.

Norton's in the wind. It's back to the recast drawing board for Doc Bruce Banner. Hulk may be in Avengers... I'm guessing Bruce, not so much.

LEE: There have been quite a lot of rumours going about that he might have some sort of cameo in Iron Man 2 to set up 'The Avengers'!

I hope that there's some sort of set up for The Avengers in Iron Man 2 but maybe they're saving them for Thor and Captain America!

Talking of Captain America, arent we supposed to be hearing some Cap casting news in the next month or so!?!

We need Ed as Hulk, sure he can be difficult, but with Zak Penn writing Avengers we're bound to need someone who can come up with a decent rewrite on the spot. RDJ, Norton, Hemsworth, Jackson, Hurt, Johansen, we need that cast.

i think it would have been cool to see him in iron man 2 but its not really needed. i do think he should be in all the future hulk movies as he was a great bruce banner and hes a good actor!

They will probably have a tie-in with Cap or Thor. Big deal that Norton isn't in Ironman 2, maybe the Hulk will be there, after all he is CGI.

Ozy @ What r u talkin about? That's news to me.
If anything Cap will be pushed to a later summer installment. August the latest. As for the Hulk there is no need for a set up with him in Iron Man II. We already have Nick Fury, and Black Widow.

Hulk @ the end of THOR wrecking up some train tracks would be a better set up for the Avengers.

The Avengers movie will have everything the comics have.

I'm even going as far as to say there will be a Namor cameo. Wasp, Ant-Man, and his transformation to Giantman.

Thought the Bruce cameo was a load of rubbish when I first heard of it but I hope at least one other major Marvel character will cameo in Iron Man 2 to lead up to the Avengers to follow the Nick Fury cameo in Iron Man 1

Cap and Thor had already been pushed back in March. Now they did it again, but only by a few months.

For several months now we have known that Avengers was pushed back to 2012 and Thor and Cap would be in 2011.

So here's the scoop gentlemen: Captain America was set for May of 2011. Now it will come out July 2011 (just in time for the Fourth lol)

Thor was set to hit theaters in May 2011. Now instead it will come out in June.

I don't know why but apparently they shuffled things because of the Spider - Man 4 release.

Although he played a pretty good Banner, I don't want to see him back. I'd rather they kept Hulk's origins true to the old book, and not along the lines of the crappy '70's/'80's show. It wasn't even true to THAT origin, either.

They don't need him in Iron Man 2. Just like they don't need Ed Norton in The Avengers either. They just need a body to transform into agiant HULKING monster.Bruce Banner isn't going to have the whole film around his character so who plays it doesn't matter.

I don't get it...If Norton is not appearing as a cameo in Iron Man 2 then why does his name appear in Iron Man 2 credits on the imdb.com website?? Take a look for yourself:

Like I said before the Hulk better be in the Avengers movie cause it wouldn't be the Avengers, it'll be more like Civil War...

It doesn't make sense for the hulk or bruce banner's cameo on Iron man 2, Stark already did a cameo on the hulk...so the two character already tied in. It will be repetitive except the other way around. They have to spread the cameo spot to other characters like Thor or Cap

It does list Ed Norton and Bruce Banner in Ironman 2 on IMDB but it also says this:

"Because this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change; some data could be removed completely."

So it's not written in stone that Ed or Hulk will be in Ironman 2.

Bruce Banner doesn't need to be in Ironman 2 at all! But he and his alter-ego MUST be in the Avengers! But we won't know for a long time if Ed will be there or not.

Not a big loss. Yeah, it would be cool if he could have had a cameo in Iron Man 2 but he doesn't have to be. As long as he's in the Avengers movie, I'll be happy.

No news on a year or more delay for the release of Cap or the Avengers on AICN, Latino Review, IESB, IGN, Superhero Hype, Superhero Flix, Nuke the Fridge, Mania, IMDb, Yahoo, and the official Marvel sites.

Dates are still 22 July 2011 for Cap and 4 May 2012 for Avengers.

Check your facts Ozy, Mulder's got a nervous condition saying things like that'll make him sound like Vader. :)

Thanks for the heads-up DDD. I sure hope Hulk does appear in IronMan cameo, but with Norton's comment I see it highly unlikely. As long as Hulk is in Avengers and then I am ok with that. Most definitely a Hulk 2. Louie Letterier wants to start making a Hulk 2 so bad.

And I am bored and frustrated with sucky Spider Man movies and sucky X Men movies. I just about like Captan A better than any of that anyway. So fake news about that is particularly unappreciated.

when they were making incrdible hulk, there were all kinds of fighting going on between norton and marvel studios. norton, apparently thought that in his contract he had some kind of creative control on the project. marvel said, no, you don't. so the infighting began. whether he DID have some control or not doesn't matter, the fact is, they got heat with each other. so i'm not sure norton will be back in a marvel movie, though i have no doubt about the hulk being in them. just maybe not iron man 2, which is fine. it looks like there's already plenty going on in iron man 2

I think ozy might have referencing some of the rumors about delays that were circulating around the time disney bought marvel, but nothing has come out to lend any credence to those rumors.
