Filming continues in Liverpool and here are a handful of new pictures from the scene which we've so far discovered involves Steve Rogers pursuing Nazi agents on foot and ends with the yellow taxi (a damaged version of which can be seen below) being rolled over. What role the recently revealed HYDRA aquatic vehicles play is still unknown...
Captain America: The First Avenger
is set to be released on July 22, 2011!
Source:
Liverpool Echo
EXCLUSIVE:
Oxford resident, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, got in touch earlier today with the following photos which give us a better look at where filming is taking place as well as a 1960's era bus that will obviously be included in the scene somehow. Thanks of course to him for sending these to us and if you've got anything you'd like to share about either of these movies, be sure to get in touch by clicking on "Contact Me" at the top left hand side of this page!
X-Men: First Class
is set to be released on June 17, 2011!

Heh... With both productions going on in England, I keep expecting someone to mix up the productions and post Cap pics as X-Men pics, or vice versa.

Great find/scoop Josh! I guess Wez was right about Cap tearing off the Taxi's door...with the star up to his chest. I hope that part won't be cheezy.

Thanks guys - it's a pity to soil an article about
Captain America
with filth like
X-Men: First Class
, lol, but I figured that you'd want to see the pictures as they give such a better look at the set and everything! :)
DCMF:
I had not heard that rumour...that'll certaintly make for an interesting sight! Of course, something like that does indeed run the risk of looking a little silly, but I have faith Johnston will get it right. He may not be my favourite director but this movie looks fantastic so far!
ckal:
Lol, I'm not sure I could cope with another one of those! :D On the other hand, I might as well just get it out of the way -
X-Men: First Class
will be shit!!!

@Josh- Let it all out bud ;) I'm still waiting for Fox to go bankrupt and be forced to sell their super hero properties.
@DCMF-How much would I love to see Steve rip off a car door? Answer is a shit ton.

@shocker: I think you would be the first hyprocrite. Because at least for what I believe is: I STILL THINK THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO SU@K!
And everyone above seems to have posted their dislike for the movie too. So what the F.U.@.K. are you talking about?

@Shocker
That sign is perfect.
First class set pieces are a waste of space. Looking forward the studio interference articles that come along with every X-men production. Seams like the only thing Rothman approved of was making mystique naked. Piece of Shyt.
Anyway, Captain america pics are looking good. So far Johnson and Marvel got the damn thing up and running. Good job. Marvel fan for life.

Why are some people on here giving opinions on whether a film will be 'awesome' or 'sh*t'??? It is IMPOSSIBLE to judge a film from a few production photos. For example, just because Chris Evans LOOKS good in the shots, it doesn't mean he WILL be good in the actual film. It's pointless making judgements before any finished footage is released. I was in several scenes with Evans this week, and I can say that he is taking the role seriously, and really throwing himself into it. Before each scene I saw him psyching himself up, and he looked great in his final close-up where he realises his body has changed. The fight scene with Kruger looked amazing, and both actors (Evans and Richard Armitage) were drenched to the skin on a freezing dockside. It was an honour to be in the same scenes. Oh, and as for the guy whose mate was an extra - I don't think you've done him any favours describing his role as the bus driver. That makes it VERY easy for Marvel to find his name and sue him for breaking the non-disclosure agreement we all had to sign.
