First Pictures Of Captain Stacy On The Set Of Spider-Man!

Thanks to "Blader5489" over on the SHH Forums, we have our first look at Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy on the set of the Marc Webb helmed reboot which has still not revealed its official title despite a picture of Andrew Garfield in the suit being released yesterday.



This picture was clearly taken on the same day that helicopter was seen taking off from the school being used in the movie, but does he look how you imagined the character should? Is he a better choice than Spider-Man 3's James Cromwell? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Wonder when we'll get the film name? I really hope its not just "Spider-Man" and I hope its not "Ultimate Spider-Man".

When he was on Conan this week he revealed that he will in fact be chasing down Spider-Man in the film so I am very happy about this. Dennis Leary is a great actor and it makes sense that a high school Gwen Stacy would have a round a 50 year old father.

An actual belt might be a little too much...he should definitely have one integrated into the costume though, as it looks ridiculous without it IMO. As you can see a hint of red where it should be, maybe he just loses it in the fight with the Lizard!?

Denis Leary looks exactly like one version of Stacy in the comics!:) I like it!

Nice pic bro!

The belt shouldn't be bulky, a little thinner and should be flexible enough for spiderman to move around easier

Denis Leary is a great choice for Capt. George Stacy (better than James Cromwell from SM3)

Thought Cromwell was a little too old. to me, Leary is the best casting choice so far, although i don't think they've gone wrong yet :0)

I was wondering who else was gonna be revealed in pics since Wednesday was Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander for David Fincher's the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, then yesterday was Andy as Spidey, but this was unexpected! Good week for pics I guess! lol When I first heard Denis was playing Captain Stacy I was jumping off the walls excited! He wasn't who I was expecting (was thinking of someone older) but just because it's Denis I am surely going to be looking forward to his performance. He has done dramatic roles other than comedy and Rescue Me so I was okay with him.

so some sort of major actions going to go down in the school now that's definitely interesting and most importantly DIFFERENT from the 1st 3. Leary is a good pick, if it's true that he's meant to be hunting down spidey then this is going in whole new direction, which I like and hopefully turns out great

@JoshW That spidey pic with the mask looks awesome who ever made that certainly knows what there doing it does not look like fan made one

i hope they kill him in an epic way. obviously he can't die doc ock style like the in the comic (there is no doc ock, DUH), but i hope his death will be better than ultimate spiderman where chameleon killed him. i hope the lizard rips him to shreds (not gonna happen in a PG film of course) but at least something equally epic. IF they kill him in the first film, that is.

i think he's chasing down proto goblin and spider-man, because lizard isn't really the villian of this film. we just assume it. connors and peter have a relationship or connors becomes the lizard at the end and his wife wants spider-man to find him. either one works. that'll lead kraven lizard as the sequels villian.

stick with one villian for the first one. just so that we don't have another spider-man 3
