Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Thor is set to be released in the UK on April 29 and shortly after in the US on May 6, later this year!

I can't wait to see his performance as Loki. In a way I'm anticipating his scenes the most *and not just because I find him totally adorable*. He seems to perfectly embody the character in both looks and his apparant understanding of the character. I wanna see this movie soo badly. It better not dissapoint

Curmudgeon - 3/27/2011, 2:51 PM
@Exiles He worked with Spielberg on a film right after doing Thor.
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 3:07 PM
@ HellsHammer- if you're no excited about this film,
it might be that you arn't a Thor fan.
skidz - 3/27/2011, 3:14 PM
One month to go!!! Not including the last few days of this one.
dmm5 - 3/27/2011, 3:16 PM

mk - 3/27/2011, 3:40 PM
@hellshammer
your a thor fan and your not excited for a thor movie?
Reasonnnn - 3/27/2011, 3:42 PM
@HellsHammmer Doesn't matter if you're sold or not, you're still going to see this film midnight/opening day. Going in with low expectations is probably a better thing for you.
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 3:47 PM
once HellsHammer sees thor trash a few frost giants
with mjolnir, he'll be clapping along with the rest
of us.
capreborn - 3/27/2011, 3:55 PM
HellsHammer - 3/27/2011, 3:57 PM
wow you guys are pathetic. my opinion of the film is that of my own. My ticket will not determine if Thor breaks box office records or not, and I hope its a great movie. But to have everyone bash me for my opinion is pretty pathetic. 3 people in a row makes me think that someone is trolling. And seeing as how Dumegg was the first to call me out, my eyebrow is raised at you. I didnt say the film is going to suck, I didnt say the film is going to be great either, I said "I just cant seem to get excited about it" Now get over it and screw your inflatable women.
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 4:04 PM
no need to raise your eye brow at me bro. i'm not
callin' you out. i was just a little suprised that
you being a thor fan, you wern't all that impressed with
the trailers and other visuals. by the way I don't
have any inflatabe toys, but if you have an extra one
that you havn't sullied, you can mail it to me.
marvel72 - 3/27/2011, 4:18 PM
@ hellshammer

i'm a fan of thor,captain america,green lantern & the x-men.

but i'm only excited for thor & captain america.

maybe green lantern after i see the next trailer.

as for x-men first class not excited at all.
dmm5 - 3/27/2011, 4:31 PM
@HellsHammer- What you need is a bubble bath! Haha and your ticket does matter my fellow geek, just like the millions..... And the MILLIONS do too! And I ain't no troll! Haha
HellsHammer - 3/27/2011, 4:36 PM
@dmm5 and Dumegg
lol i really didnt mean that message to sound as harsh as it did. I thought about taking it down but said "forget it"
Dont get me wrong Im stoked that Thor is finally getting big screen treatment but Im just tounge in cheek about it is all. Just as I am with Cap and GL

@ marvel72
I love anything to do with comics and hope its going to be a great summer movie season. But Im not trying to set my standards too high. If i set them too high I know ill be disapointed in the long run.
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 4:43 PM
hey man, you brought up the inflatables not me.
and by the way, why is it that when ever their is
a debate on this site some folks go right to the gay porn, farm animal or rubber duck sex crap. it's a
little like the 6th grade. we got a dose of that last
night by that dude, brianferryfan. what the F@ck is a troll?
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 4:47 PM
awesome. we're all friends again.
dmm5 - 3/27/2011, 4:50 PM
GL is half and half with me, and X-MEN?.... You know. I want GL to succeed but I'm not seeing it, the lack of commercial, promoting, and advertisement shows me how the studio feels about it. Thor and Cap on the other hand, look! Both movies show me enough to want to watch it! Marvel Studios is the little engine that could and they care enough about these characters and their audience to not let them down
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 4:55 PM
i heard paramount owns DC now. maybe thats why DC doesn,t get more involved. if they try to, they are
probably told to go find an inflatable toy of their
own.
Ironcap - 3/27/2011, 4:59 PM
Very Excited for this one, Can't wait till it comes out!
VanCityKid - 3/27/2011, 5:00 PM
:O He's an Indy fan??!! :D:D
dmm5 - 3/27/2011, 5:04 PM
Umm.... No, Warner Bros. has and always owned DC
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 5:07 PM
sorry WB not paramount. i new it was one movie co. or
another. and when you say always, how long is that?
dmm5 - 3/27/2011, 5:20 PM
Since DC Comics published their first comic book
marvel72 - 3/27/2011, 5:39 PM
@ dmm5

i don't think they have, batman show of the 60s with adam west was a 20th century fox produced show & so was the swamp thing.

warner & fox went to court over the watchmen rights.
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 6:02 PM
it's to bad the comic companies can't be owned
by the comic companies themselves.
HellsHammer - 3/27/2011, 6:24 PM
It would have been great if their was a studio made for the sole purpose of making comic book movies and would handle all Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse etc. and let the people behind the comic book companies work on the motion pictures. Obvioulsy showing the Logos of the characters companies before the films like they do now . That would been one less thing for us to worry about because we would know that each movie would be handled with love and care, and crossovers wouldnt be an issue.
Just a fools dream though.
Avenger53 - 3/27/2011, 6:30 PM
Hiddleston's hair color is dark again (it's normally blonde)... might this hint even further at his possible participation in The AVENGERS?!?!?!
Dumegg - 3/27/2011, 6:39 PM
@hellshammer- agreed
ThorMightyAvenger - 3/27/2011, 6:39 PM
I am Thunderous Piece Of Work ;p
golden123 - 3/27/2011, 6:40 PM
isn't the phrase "a peice of work" a bad thing?
dmm5 - 3/27/2011, 7:29 PM
Of course Loki is going to be in Avengers!
greenlanter13 - 3/27/2011, 8:26 PM
I hope it is can't wait for this movie to come out
Orphix - 3/28/2011, 1:25 AM
Slightly off topic but I am totally surprised that The Avengers has started (or about to start) filming and yet we have very little casting news!!

After the 'magnificent seven' heroes there is next to nothing. Only Maria Hill and Agent Coulsen are confirmed!
dmm5 - 3/28/2011, 4:18 AM
Little cast? LITTLE CAST? LITTLE CAST!?! It's already massive! You have Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johanson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye)...... And Ruffalo.... In the same movie! What more do you want!?!
