Despite the huge excitement for The Avengers, many fans have been left wondering just how exactly Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios will share the spotlight equally for each team member. While talking about his excitement for the movie, Chris Hemsworth was quick to point out that each character and actor will recieve the attention they deserve.



"We've met sort of separately at various events and things, but yet to all sit down in the same room and do a read through...which I'm very excited about.

"Yes and no. All of a sudden there's more people to sort of take some of the weight of it all, but also you want to do your bit and stand out, you know so it's a combination. But, the excitement outweighs all of that. I'm a huge fan of these characters and these actors."

"Everyone really does get a go and I think Joss has done an incredible job of throwing it together and making sure that happens."


With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Marc Rufallo as Bruce Banner, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, The Avengers is set to be released on May 4, 2012!

unlike the x-men movies which were really just wolverine films.

Hmmm maybe if Marvel Studios gets the Fantastic 4, Spiderman, Xmen etc back they do a triology called Galactus. It would be pure madness but would be huge

I agree the xmen movies really just being Wolverine movies. They should just did them as Wolverine movies and made a proper Xmen team based movies.

They're about to start shooting, but have the final casting been nail down yet? We still don't know who the villain(s) are or confirmed yet. We still don't know who are cast in those roles. we still don't know if there any other Avengers other than the core 4 along with Widow and Hawkeye and the supporting roles of Fury, Hill and Coulsen. Whedon said there would be another female Avenger and still no info? What's up with the Pyms? are they in or out?

Handle it like LOTR, Watchmen, Inception, Matrix, any movie with a team trying to accomplish something. All of these movie group movies I thought handle each character really well without giving a character too much build up.

@CaptainDusty: Yeah, its inevitable that he'll be in one of the Avengers sequels.

@maxleresistant: Its just something about Ruffalo that doesnt make me think "Now, that's Bruce Banner." Christian Bale wouldve been a better choice IMO.

THANOS WOULD BE EPIC, SAVE HIM FOR THE 3RD AND FINAL MOVIE, 1ST ONE SHOULD BE LOKI CONTROLLING THE HULK THEN THE WRECKING CREW, 2ND SHOULD BE ULTRON OR SKRULLS AND 3RD SHOULD BE THANOS OR KANG, BUT I WANT THANOS....

Ive heard alot about the film from insiders, down to small details.

the villians are Loki teaming up with aliens. dunno if its skrulls/chituari, or annihilation hordes, but its worldwide invasion everywhere. gonna be epic

Skrulls please! Would be a nice invasion movie, but with superheroes! I've been watching the previous marvel movies, and Coulson seemed quite desperate to recruit stark. Seems to me Shield already know that shit's coming down!
