The veteran actor told The Belfast Telegraph that he was "very impressed" by his British co-star, Andrew Garfield, in a recent interview.

"It's a different phenomenon, these young stars that are coming up," he added. "I was very impressed with him because of his commitment and his discipline, and he's a very sweet young man too."

As for how his work on the movie as Spider-Man's Uncle Ben Parker has been going so far, he said: "I've filmed all the scenes in California and I have to go to New York in April and May and film the final parts that I have to do. It's great fun."

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

i like alot about the suit, but i also hate alot too. i dont like the back too much, especially the random break in the back at the top for the spider emblem. the way the red connects to the gloves from the shoulders isnt too appealing either. i would have rather the glove not connect at all, sort of have the red on the torso look more like a tunic on the shoulders. i really like the material though, and the tone of the colors. oh well, to each his own

The Tobey version was more traditional, direct transition from comics to screen. But the silver web-lining made me think of the silver Bat-suit from the Schumacher batman.

I like the new suit.

I have no problem with the suit, I think this film is going in a great direction and people shouldn't let the suit (if they don't like it) take away from their enjoyment of the movie.

I can understand reservations but Webb did say (the story was on this site) that the costume was engineered specifically for 3D.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'm sure it'll work out just fine. When condeming it just remember the first time you saw the Green Lantern costume in the first released footage...it sucked...now...it looks the [frick]in business

The suit looks kind of filthy... I mean literally, not pornographic... in these shots. Like Hobo Spider-man's seen some hard years on the streets.

I know it's just some dynamic shading to give the suit better shape on film, but it's amusing in these behind the scenes pics.

1)Sheen did not give a good performance in Spawn..he was hammy and hasn't done anything since then. His only good movie was 'Apocalypse Now'

@sexfoodcomics- it really doesn't. This is the first time i've ever said this, but your opinion is wrong. Raimi's suit looked like it jumped right out of the comics.

They will force feed people the ugly suit until familiarity turns into acceptance. I already hear people saying "Uh der, It's growing on me". People also get used to jail and amputation. Doesn't mean it's awesome.
