First Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Poster Debuts; Trailer Set To Be Unleashed Tomorrow!

SuperHeroHype have unveiled the first teaser poster for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, as well as details on when the theatrical trailer will debut. Earlier today, Sony Pictures and directing duo Neveldine/Taylor confirmed that it'll be released online via Apple Trailers tomorrow, but the site add the specific time of 9am PT. Stay tuned to CBM as we'll be sure to have it up on the site within seconds of it hitting the web!

Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider
Johnny Whitworth as Blackout
Ciarán Hinds as The Devil
Violante Placido as Nadya
Idris Elba as Moreau

RELEASE DATE: February 17th, 2012.

What!!! Peter Fonda is not in this movie? I thought he was the best part of the first one. Hopefully this is good though. Why couldn't they have recasted Nic Cage and kept Peter Fonda?

Problems with the 1st One:
1) Nic Cage
2)GR defeated everyone with the Penance Stare.

Solutions for 2nd One (So it doesn't suck)
1)GR stays in CG form all the time...eliminate Cage all together.
2)Use one of the many other powers and abilities GR has.

Never thought of Nic cage as a good actor until i saw National treasure, so i'm not completely against him. Besides, unlike most people i actually enjoyed the first movie. And idris elba will be on it, so that definitely will spice things up.

Pretty sweet looking teaser poster. I'm curious to see how this sequel will showcase the darker tone mentioned in past news. The first one had great visual effects for Ghost Rider but bad dialogue and subpar acting by Nic Cage whom I normally like but his characterization of Johnny blaze was the wrong way to go in that one. I'm hoping he can redeem GR in this one and show a more tormented Blaze than a comical one. The trailer tomorrow should give us all a general idea so can't wait!
Also it's good to have time on my side again and be back on here and seeing some familiar names ;D

Neveldine/Taylor are known for their high octane fast paced mayhem. I think this could be a beginning to possible awesomeness, btw my glass is half full. As long as theres no love interest. Anyone know the confirmed villian?

I think this will be the surprise CBM to start 2012...lets just wait till we see it before passing judgement..

@ cotinuezero - Ermmm did we watch the same Ghost Rider film...if I remember right he only used the penance stare twice...once on the mugger attacking that goth girl and the other time of Blackheart at the end...
