You could tell in the teaser trailer they had tension, just by the way Thor looks at Stark.

@teabag it's actually good to see him again in like 20 years.

Iron-Man is like an ant to Thor. Just like would be to Superman. It's beyond unfair. Love Downey! Completely crazy and strange! Love it!

@ marvel72 I can't see them having any other basis for the fight but that.

Logically, THOR should be the leader of the Avengers. He's more powerful, faced various foes and threats and has way more combat training than Rogers.

@grif Yeah sure... "Give your orders and ultimatums to those who choose to obey, or are too cowardly to fight, NOT to me. Or learn again the difference between a god of thunder...and a mortal man in metal suit" Owned.

If they decide to exploit the tension between Stark and Thor, and make it a regular occurence; we could eventually see the appearance of the "Thorbuster" armour in later movies.
If this is the case, the odds are stacked in Stark's favour :)

I like Thor not being the leader of the team. Cap's leadership is about clear thinking, quick action, and character. Thor is definitely the most powerful though by a landslide. That confrontation b/t Thor and Iron Man is one of my favorites.

Well he hails from Scandinavia so it could just mean that.

Or maybe she's hinting at a storyline - does Selvig become all powerful with the help of Loki??

I have to say, however, that Renner and Johansen have come across as real asses in every single one of these D23 interviews. Especially when compared to the friendly and charismatic responses of Hemsworth and RDJ.

Neobaggins@ But it is Captain America's ability to stay calm and analyze situations in the blink of an eye that makes him a more qualified leader. Cap is a leader because he never asked to be it was something that like most great leaders that was thrust upon him. All he wanted was to serve and because of his pure intentions he got that and so much more.

What's Amazing is that I Look At Chris and I SEE him as Thor now. And When I Look At Robert Downey Jr. I SEE him as Tony Stark. It's Like their roles are made for them! its craziness!

@Shaman - One joke from Billy Crystal is funnier than every movie Judd Apatow has ever done, or will ever do.

As for who would win in a battle between Thor and Iron Man, the movie Thor appears to be significantly less powerful than the Thor from the comics. It could be a fairly even fight.

Thor would own Iron Man, as the comics have often pointed out. Actually, I've never understood how Thor doesn't beat Hulk.

I'm guessing the scene from the teaser where Stark walks up to Thor and says "Nice swing" is after their throwdown. His way of saying "No hard feelings".
