The Lone Ranger Likely To Start Production Next Year; Will The Cast Also Return?

Deadline, who have been keeping us updated on the progress of The Lone Ranger since it was first put on hold due to budgetary concerns, now reveal that things are finally looking up for the Disney movie. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski have managed to bring what the studio feared would be a $250 million budget to a far more manageable level, with the paychecks for them and star Johnny Depp (as well as the production budget and shooting schedule) being the main casualties.

The site reveal that everything should be finalized by next week, and the crew is expected to be rehired then for a production start date of next January or February. Whether this will effect the planned release of December 21, 2012 is unknown (but it more than likely will) although on a brighter note, Johnny Depp (Disney wouldn't make the movie without him apparently) Armie Hammer and Luther;s Ruth Wilson will all return after being cast earlier this year.

Johnny Depp still Tonto?
i still think this movie is starting off on the wrong foot. and i swear the CGI must be next to zero, it has to be crazy stunts and throwback adventure.

ugh, still don't feel good about this. i wish the project would fall apart.

Okay , here's the scenario:
Zombie-fied escaped black slaves eat their masters and head west. Meanwhile, aliens from planet Zarlax empower native Americans with a mutating mystic crystal and become vampires who have a taste for 'white' blood.
Simultaneously Butch Standish has a sex change and creates a new persona called 'Straightheater' , and shoots our hero to death (supposedly) because his Texas Ranger uniform didn't color coordinate. Tonto finds him near death, so thinking fast , wizzes on him while reciting an ancient Potawatomi chat.
He survives the devastating wound and vows to open a supernatural themed 'theme' park.
The zombies, vampires show up just in time where they work together to create the very first theme park of the Old West.
Standish-I mean -Striaghthater- visit's the park were The Lone Ranger recognizes him. While 'Straighthater' sits in one of the roller coaster cars with a coyote, sandwiched between a vampire in the front car and a zombie in the car behind, ends up as food for both during the ride. Just barely alive after the car stops, The Lone Ranger and Tonto shove cotton candy in his mouth and he dies.
The end.

Most of the American population has Native American blood. No Johnny Depp and no werewolves. It is a mockery to the Lone Ranger. Adam Beach or Eddie Spears for Tonto.
