While many fans of the comic didn't take too kindly to the 2008 adaptation of Mark Millar's Wanted (it took a fair few liberties with the source material) it WAS a financial success, and we recently heard that a sequel would be going ahead. So, with the script currently being worked on, what of director Timur Bekmambetov? "Hopefully, Timur will come back on to direct," co-screenwriter Michael Brandt told Coming Soon in a recent interview. "You write it with Timur's sensibility and try to give him the most leeway to do what he does really well."

"We're just writing the script right now. We're hoping that it's going to be Timur directing," added writing partner, Derek Haas. "I think Michael and I are going to strong-arm him into Universal and make him do it. We're writing and basically picking Wesley up a few years after the events of the first movie and throwing him back into that world." For more, be sure to click on the link below.
