Raimi Reveals more on the Spider-Man 4 Villains (or villian-esses)

Sam Raimi has exclusively revealed to MTV more information on who or what may be going up against Spider-Man in the next movie...
This from MTV's Splash Page-

When the director was asked how the selection of the villain/s was coming along with scriptwriter, David Lindsay-Abaire he said, "I’ve talked with David about a possible villain, villains, villain-ess. We’ve spoken about who knows what Spider-Man’s conflicting personas would be.”

Raimi also revealed that he may even be happy to introduce even the most obscure of supervillains, "That would be absolutely fine - but I’m not looking for things like that. I’m trying to, with the writer, find Peter Parker’s story primarily. And find the right conflict for him to come up against. So that either he can grow as a human being and overcome this thing, or perish. It’s more about finding the villain that represents the best story for Peter.”

However, Raimi also told MTV that whatever villain may be featured in the first draft script may not be the one who appears on the big screen, "Really, I have to read the screenplay and see if it’s working, what we’ve discussed. Before I really, in my heart, could tell you that I knew.”

So, what do you think all this means for which villain we may see in Spider-Man 4? And, is anyone else worried why Sam Raimi keeps going on about Peter Parker's story rather than the Amazing Spider-Man...after all, do we really want any more of Peter dancing?!?

Ahhh man, it has to be the right villain that fits. No morbius etc. Lizard/Kraven/Electro have my vote not all 3 at once of course
spideysweb - 5/28/2009, 12:10 PM
SINISTER SIX!!! ; )
LEEE777 - 5/28/2009, 12:11 PM
See now... did someone hit him in the head with a shovel??? Explain to me how you adapt a whole screenplay of Mysterio to say... The Lizard??? Anyone???

You kinda need the villan before you start with the screenplay there... [frick]tart!!!

And well, as for Peter, he better be focussing on him to make him get out of never never land!!!
Shaman - 5/28/2009, 12:14 PM
spiderman is not really a story about spiderman, its actually a life story of peter parker...so if the author of this article doesnt approve that fact, it makes him an idiot who obviously doesnt understand the character and the story..Straczynski knew it ,Raimi knows it too... and i trust those pros more than some nerdy troll who writes this crap...
ijuri34 - 5/28/2009, 12:20 PM
The Peter Pan bit is getting old, but at least Tobey is cute. In the geeky neighbor way
THEPHOENIX - 5/28/2009, 12:23 PM
I agree with Leee...Lead up to a sinister six finale.
spideysweb - 5/28/2009, 12:24 PM
For sure. This is spiderman and I want to see him developed. SM3 focused on way too many villians and that made the plot too thin. Pick a villian and make it a good story.
JonSolo - 5/28/2009, 12:28 PM
sounds like sm3 all over again. shit story and most popular villain is likely. and the badguys wont be done right. just focusing on making the story as bad as possible is the number one thing. raimi said he learned his lesson from the 3rd one. i dont htink he did.
grif - 5/28/2009, 12:31 PM
Spideysweb @ ; )
LEEE777 - 5/28/2009, 12:37 PM
Actually he said he learned his lesson from the two previous ones, not the third. So he definitly didn't. And judging by what he just said up there... he's not in line for a filming award either.
Shaman - 5/28/2009, 12:45 PM
@Shaman. I think what he meant was he leared his lessons from the previous two as i 2&3 and not one.
THEHAWK - 5/28/2009, 12:48 PM
I sense a crossing of gwen stacy with black cat. Y'all wait and see! He's gonna do it.
Betty - 5/28/2009, 12:53 PM
I dont think i can stomach another spiderman after the 3rd one. So unless peter parker gets murdered and raped i dont care.
LouDog - 5/28/2009, 12:54 PM
I think they should at least put something in spidey 4 that leaves a cliffhanger. to promote the sequel
Fartman - 5/28/2009, 12:55 PM
ijuri34: i understand Peter Parker perfectly well-but unlike the JMS run on Amazing Spider-Man a few years back the films havent handled him all that well so far-oh and i guess you dont know all that much seeing as its Spider-Man not Spiderman jackass!

If I get one more story of Peter Parker coming over adversity whether it be living with spiderman or trying to balance his social life or staying with MJ Im gonna cringe. Why cant he just be the amazing spiderman why can he just be photographer peter parker or work with doc.connors and kick villans ass and trying to help ppl sure everyone has adversity in some story but the growth of him is getting annoying and whinny. aka movie number 1. He was dealing with his new power deciding how should balance it with his social life and try to get MJ back at the same time. He realizes its what he needs to do and kinda lets go of certain things.

Number 2. He doesnt wanna be spiderman anymore he wans to LIVE. Be a college kid and not have sex with the girls he wants. His idenity is revealed to some which is pretty cool awesome makes sense we needed that as well

NUMBER 3. A combo of one and 2 but he is arrogant and thinkin of himself and has to come over that to balance his two lives OK WE GET

Can we move on from that i know we need growth in a story but these growing pains are becoming painful why can spiderman just learn lessons from his villains regarded how he should capture and take of him now instead of his social life as much ya know.
Set2Fallfirst - 5/28/2009, 1:26 PM
LEEE777 said: "SINISTER SIX!!! ; )"

That would have been so cool! Too bad they already killed off Doc Oc. That and I really don't see Sandman coming back. Oh well... =(
BmanHall - 5/28/2009, 1:26 PM
Screw a SM4. They should just do a network mini series with round robin sidekicks revenge storyline or something along those lines.
JonSolo - 5/28/2009, 1:31 PM
THE GUY IS ALLOWED TO TRIP A BIT..HE GENUINELLY CAN DO THIS..I THINK VENOM WAS JUST PUSHED ON HIM AND BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO ACCOMADATE HE SLIPPED A BIT.I VOTE LIZARD AND MORBIUS AND THE THEME"CAN YOU BE BRAVE FACING REAL MONSTERS"
GUNSMITH - 5/28/2009, 1:31 PM
I like Raimi and think its nice having a guy in there that actually gives a shit about the character and trying to do the right thing by fans.
JonSolo - 5/28/2009, 1:38 PM
Maybe it's going to be a whole dance flick. Spider Man 4 Step up to the Streets. Who needs villains when Peter Parker can dance.
Juicerules - 5/28/2009, 1:42 PM
The story should be about him starting a relationship with Gwen Stacy, since he and MJ split (they reconciled at the end of SM3, but who knows if they stayed together?)

Then, they should bring in HOBGOBLIN/ or CARNAGE and kill CAPTAIN STACY & GWEN!

Tragedy can make ANY person grow up quick!
SpiderMan209 - 5/28/2009, 1:45 PM
I think we've had enough of this inner schoolboy conflict "should I be Spiderman or not", "what do I do with this power given to me". We need to see Parker comfortable with being Spiderman, not giddy like in 3 but relaxed to some extent. That can bring in a little more wise cracking. The conflict we need now is one from outside like how his actions as Spiderman affect those around him. What better villain to show that with than Lizard? He needs to be stopped but he is Peters friend.
Howlett04 - 5/28/2009, 1:45 PM
Betty- "I sense a crossing of gwen stacy with black cat. Y'all wait and see! He's gonna do it."

Yes, i'm sure he will!!!
Shaman - 5/28/2009, 1:47 PM
I just wish they would have stuck with the original story. It would have been a lot easier to decide the next villains. If Doc Oc is gone, that means no Sinister Six. If Venom is gone, that means no Carnage or Separation Anxiety. Why are they ruining this for me!?!? <=(
BmanHall - 5/28/2009, 2:02 PM
I GOT IT!

Peter maries Mary Jane, but keeps Gwen on the side.
Aunt May will Shot by the villain and be on deaths door. Peter searches for a cure from everyone in the Marvel U niverse, he will o course have to do a cross over, since he is the only character owned by Sony. No one can help him. So he meets a lady in red who...get this she turns out to be Mephisto.

M offers to save Aunt May if Peter and MJ agree to sell the devil their marriage. They agree and MJ FINALLY SAYS HER LINE "Face it Tiger, you just hit the Jackpot." ANd flash everything is reset, Aunt May is alive, Harry is alive, Doc Ock, Gobby, but the only peole dead are Gwen Stacey...adn Kenny. The end scene is at Peter's birthday he makes a toast to "A Brand New Day." and he then turns the water, Into FUNK!

This of course was inspired by the Clone Saga, and the Maximum Carnage arcs.
THEPHOENIX - 5/28/2009, 2:05 PM
This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
DarkAvengers - 5/28/2009, 2:06 PM
I will mailbomb his ass if he cross' Gwen and Felicia, I'm not joking. A story circulating the Lizard would be a completely different type of conflict we've yet to see in the movies. Instead of trying to save MJ... AGAIN... Parker is fighting to save one of his mentor's from a terrible fate as a new pair of boots for Kraven, how much better can that get. Hell, with Kraven involved, we can even get the classic Buried Alive event(can't remember what it is actually called, Spider-fans know what I'm talking about) a Lizard/Kraven story would literally write itself along with nixing a necessity for the typical 'damsel in distress' C'mon folks, help me out here. Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven! Lizard/Kraven!
TheMyth - 5/28/2009, 2:11 PM
@GUNSMITH

I like your idea for the theme of Spider-Man 4 but substitute Kraven The Hunter for Morbius and its perfect. The whole theme of being brave when facing real monsters would still work as Kraven is a monster of another kind for hunting innocent creatures and hopefully in this case, people i.e. Peter and Dr Conners in Lizard form.

But for Spider-Man 4, the basic plot should be Spider-Man faces the Lizard, tries to cure him. Kraven arrives in New York, hunts the Lizard but Spidey gets in his way. He hunts Spidey in a smaller version of Kraven's Last Hunt, buries Spidey in a grave and then goes off to take out the Lizard. Spidey gets out and movie ends with big final battle which ends in Lizard's and Kraven defeat and maybe, they could leave curing the Lizard until a Sinister Six movie or give him a cure that would have to be taken on a regular basis so an eventual regression into the Lizard could be explained easily in a Sinister 6 movie. It would be a movie where Spidey has to fight against the greatest threats, a friend turned into a mindless monster and a man without any remorse
dancingmonkey08 - 5/28/2009, 2:15 PM
@The Myth---DUDE! I'm with ya! LIZARD/KRAVEN!

So long as Gerard Butler plays KRAVEN! :)
SpiderMan209 - 5/28/2009, 2:32 PM
Raimi wants to find Peter's story? I can think of two ways they can do this:

1. Bring back the Green Goblin (get rid of that awful [frick]ing costume though) and have him kill Gwen Stacy.

2. Kraven's Last Hunt.

Nuff Said.
alten2345 - 5/28/2009, 2:40 PM
Wait. No. I changed my mind. You want to know what storyline is "Peter's story" as Raimi put it?

THE CLONE SAGA!!!

LMAO.
alten2345 - 5/28/2009, 2:43 PM
@alten2345: Please no Clones lol.

@SpiderMan209: Butler would be great, but Scott Adkins would be even better. If you watch Undisputed 2, he even looks like Kraven in that movie.

Yohon Kalic - 5/28/2009, 3:17 PM
I personally feel the only logical choice is both The Lizard and Kraven the Hunter at this point. I mean, I love Sam Raimi, but if he wants to have Peter keep growing, then it would be perfect for Spider-man to not only defeat both The Lizard and Kraven, but SAVE The Lizard at the same time since its Dr. Connors. Thats my own personal opinion. I just think it's the right move after Spider-man 3. I'm open to other villains.... not so much when it comes to Morbius, though.
PlaidRocker - 5/28/2009, 3:18 PM
Kraven/Chameleon/Lizard...Nuff' said.
adamant877 - 5/28/2009, 3:23 PM
i dont want kraven/lizard-i want scorpion/electro!!!

joshw24 - 5/28/2009, 4:39 PM
How about the foul-mouthed dude from the cable series Deadwood, for Kraven?

He would prolly be great as Kraven.
kitboy33 - 5/28/2009, 4:47 PM
hey joshw..i wouldn't mind electro and scorpion but if i had my choice i would have lizard and kraven... on a side note i played the demo for dead space and you are right was pretty cool. going to look for it used. also tried infamous and was ok but i didn't play it for long..will try again either tonight or on the weekend.
spideysweb - 5/28/2009, 5:21 PM
I think Peter's personal story for part 4 should revolve around him finally embracing his role as Spider-man which leads to Pete trying to save everyone and realizing by film's end that he can't! Casualties should be Kraven, Gwen Stacy and her father. MJ should be off in Paris pursuing her modeling career, as her and Pete are on an indefinite break. She can be brought back in part 6, where she finally marries Peter.

The main focus of Peter's personal life should be his day to day existence as a student, and working with Doc Connors and Dr. Morbius after school to make up for his missing relationship with Dr. Octavius. His growth would be graduating from the role of apprentice through necessity and desperation.

He could discover that Connors has secretly been working on experiments on regeneration. Later, after Connors has turned into the Lizard, Pete could have made further advances continuing with Connors work on his own, which leads to Pete finding a way to reverse Connor's transformation!

When the melee happens where Gwen and her father are shot, Pete could arrive too late with a corrected version of Connor's serum - which forces him to accept the fact of life that death is inevitable! Wrap this around my idea for 4 from my previous posts and - BAM! there you have it!
JonF - 5/28/2009, 5:44 PM
Man I really hope we get a fun loving, wise cracking spider-man. I mean, he wins half of his fights just talking smack. I'm really tired of the brooding, depressed, "i hate my life" Peter Parker.

THEHAWK - 5/28/2009, 6:17 PM

SWANN - 5/28/2009, 6:32 PM
Hawco is on to something. Spiderman get's imprisoned for accidentally murdering Aunt May. He then goes to prison, where he is raped and murdered by Tombstone. He is then resurrected by the Hand. When he comes back, he is once again Emo Parker. Unfortunately, as he's doing a dance routine down the street, an angry cabbie runs him down, killing him again. he then makes a deal with Mephisto, after being raped by the hell ridden soul of Hitler for what seems like three eternities (the punishment for being an emo, during life). Mephisto lets him back with one catch, he returns as Man-spider, going on a killing rampage, mindlessly raping all of his victims before wrapping them in a$$-silk and draining their blood.

OK, spiderman four; (cracking knuckles) done.

Coats - 5/28/2009, 6:48 PM
Oh, and Betty - I think you're right on with Gwen becoming black cat. That would be an awesome transition. She is the hero that can understand him. He almost falls for her, over his new honey, MJ, but eventually realizes that MJ is the one for him, almost too late. But then Gwen gets herself offed, as she dies in his arms he tells her that of course he loves her, but she can see in his eyes that she isn't his true love. It's ok, she says. Loving him was enough.

her eyes close for the last time, and then Spiderman kicks morbious' ass halfway across the Manhattan sewer.

(cracking knuckles) And scene!
Coats - 5/28/2009, 6:52 PM
Who's Hawco?
THEHAWK - 5/28/2009, 7:09 PM
The person with the ET avatar (right below you and betty, up above). They wanted rape and murder in the next spiderman. Sounded good enough at the time :P

Not you though, don't worry, lol. Although Hawco may well be your evil bearded twin.
Coats - 5/28/2009, 7:19 PM
well....don't use mj in this movie..at all..let her go do some soul searching...let pete and gwen have at it..while the lizard comes a knockin...and wreaks havoc...with kraven hot in pursuit of the doc connors..and maybe he hunts a little for spidey as well (who wants to save connors before kraven hacks him or takes his head as a prize)... somewhere gwen gets killed making pete question his destiny..re-enter mj at the end...sets up nicely for the next film...maybe sinister 6 (and folks..after they f**ked the spidey storyline up so badly...we cant have gwen dying due to the goblin..that's a huge retcon)
Anil Rickly - 5/28/2009, 7:32 PM
they haven't killed off Doc Oc, newspaper behind jameson in SM3 headline was Doc Oc still at large. We never saw him die. They need to have Doc Conners (Lizard) find him in the bottom of the lake in his fusion bubble, bring him back to his lab and work on reviving him with a few other crazy scientists and electrical engineers. mainly Electrical Engineer Adrian Toomes (Vulture), psychiatrist Dr. Ludwig Rinehart(Mysterio), Professor of Biology Miles Warren (Jackel), Scientist Dr Farley Stillwell (creator of Scorpion) and a behind the scenes investor in the project William Fisk (Kingpin) who Doc Connors went to in order to get the money to retrieve Doc Oc. And secretly pulling Kingpins strings who has been hiding out in Europe who isn't revealed until the end Norman Osborn (Green Goblin). All villians don't have to be reveled in this movie just their human character, leading up to cliffhanger Sinister plot for SM5.

But no more f'n dancing!!!
GOTHAMknights2012 - 5/28/2009, 8:29 PM
Maybe have maxwell Dillon go out to work on the power lines after some power surges from Doc Conners lab keep knocking out power to the city. Let him get struck by lightning. Kill off Mysterio and the Jackel in SM 4, so they can recruit Electro in 5 to take the 6th spot along with Lizard, Doc Oc, Vulture, Scorpion and Green Goblin.

GOTHAMknights2012 - 5/28/2009, 8:44 PM
Raimi has already created his own new story basis' for characters, why not have Mysterio or the Jackel kill off Gwen Stacey. The Jackel could do it on accident in a fit of jealous rage. I know, I know Green Goblin kills her in the comics and that rage is what creates the jackel but hey comic book character story lines are suppose to be changed up from writer to writer. Nobody wants to go watch a movie based exactly on the comics so you know how its gonna end. Stories are meant to be changed.

GOTHAMknights2012 - 5/28/2009, 8:50 PM
they could start off the movie with the astronaut jameson confronting peter parker for stealing his chick, he tries to kill Peter but falls to his death or gets severly injured right as MJ show's up. She blames Peter and takes off to Europe where later on in SM5 she finds out Norman Osborn is still alive and behind a sinister plot to kill spiderman. That way she's only in the movie barely, and Pete and Gwen can hook it up. JJ Jameson then hires his private Dic Mac Gargen and tries to get him to avenge his son by paying Dr Farley Stillwell to mutate him into the Scorpion.
GOTHAMknights2012 - 5/28/2009, 9:02 PM

true dat @JOSHW24 i would love to see ELECTRO/SCORPION. in my opinion though that is part 5. KRAVEN/LIZARD have to be in 4! its a no brainer, and you can have an organic story like RAIMI wants. my problem is how do in part 4 K/L set up E/S for part 5 organically? MORBIUS unfortunatly makes sense after the LIZARDS story.
dellamorte1872 - 5/28/2009, 10:25 PM

THEHAWK - 5/28/2009, 11:38 PM
My vote is still:

First movie: Morbius
Second Movie: Lizard
Third Movie: Manspider

If he bases the arc off of the cartoon arc then the stories mesh very well. Morbius was a classmate and rival of Peter's, Peter was studying his own mutation, Morbius thought it was something else and tried to duplicate it, he got bit by a bat instead of a spider, Peter/Spiderman felt guilty and went to Doc Connors for help fixing Morbius, Doc Connors took what Peter/Spiderman told him about his own mutation and used it as a starting point for his experiments which eventually turned him into Lizard. Then we find out that Peter was researching his own mutation because it was mutating further, this ultimately leads to him becoming Manspider, where Lizard/Doc Connors is the only one with the strength and intelligence to help him.

Cut and Print.

I think there can be a middle ground between Morbius's cartoon depiction and him being the same old vampire that we are seeing all over the place since Twilight. Obviously, we would do away with the hands that suck "plasma", but he could still be more monster than man than the usual vampires.
HarrisonBergeron - 5/29/2009, 12:03 AM
I'm for Lizard and Kraven. Also, Tobey Maguire needs to stop looking like a prepubescent boy and have Peter looking his age with a good hair cut and facial hair. It's embarrassing dude. OH AND KILL SNAGGLETOOTH IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES!

Face it, Tiger. Spider-Man has the best variety of supervillians in the world. There are so much to choose from, even I can't decide. However, whoever the villians will be in Spider-Man 4, Spider-Man 5, and future super sexy Spider-Man movies, I know in my heart that the movies will be super duper successful, just like the first three predecessors.

dellamorte1872 - 5/29/2009, 8:45 AM
guys...we dont need to see peter parker CRYING AGAIN in the next movie...it's sad and so frickin demeaning...he's a lil bitch!!!..and why does he have his identity revealed constantly....goblin father and son, venom..ummm no probz...but dock ock, sandman...WTF.....he loses his mask evrytime and CRIES AND WHINES...jeezz...they should recast the guy from '21'..jim sturgess as peter...F**K what raimi did in SP3...
Anil Rickly - 5/29/2009, 8:54 AM
It should be JUST THE LIZARD! No more double villains! They always have to throw in some contrived scene where one says "We both want Spider-Man dead, why not work together?" That totally ruins the believability. Just picture Charles Manson approaching Jeff Dahmer and saying "How 'bout it? I'll kill 'em and you can eat 'em?" NEVER GONNA HAPPEN! (aside from the fact that Dahmer is dead already). Just go with Doc Connors turning into the lizard and Peter has to come to grips with doing what it takes to really fight evil when it turns out to be someone close to you. But not make the entire movie about it like they have been doing- i think all of us are sick of having to watch Peter struggling so much with his responsibilities.

BTW- Electro? He looks ridiculous. And i think modern audiences are smart enough to realize that simply getting struck by lightning doesn't give you super-powers, unless you count 3rd degree burns all over your body and having to eat through a tube as "super"
ReddHotPoker - 5/29/2009, 8:56 AM
PARKERS always getting his identity revealed as SPIDERMAN! sometimes he gets away with it MOST of the time he dont though. i remember them even commenting on that before in the comics.
dellamorte1872 - 5/29/2009, 8:57 AM
If he wants an obscure bad guy why not just put TYPEFACE. He can threaten Mary Jane with letters. ReddHotPocker - ELECTRO might have a lame costume, but ULTIMATE ELECTRO has a pretty sweet one so why not.
VandalJ - 5/29/2009, 9:15 AM
its not like either goblin IN THE FILMS, looked anything like they did in the comics so I guarantee they'll change ELECTRO'S costume @REDHOTPOKER, even DOC OCK wasnt in his classic green and orange costume he sported in the comics
dellamorte1872 - 5/29/2009, 9:21 AM

I have always wondered why the Lizard has not been featured yet. Kraven would be a good look with the mighty hunter angle. Maybe have Spider-Man mix it up with the Rhino early in the film and then let another villian carry the rest of the story/action.

THE HUNT FOR RORSCH BEGINS........
LEEE777 - 5/30/2009, 1:57 AM
i like the direction raimi is taking. as a writer, its about making a story that people can relate to and empathise with. spider-man is cool to watch but peter is the dude that we learn from.

stick with one villain, no matter who he chooses and lets run with it.
Olly - 5/30/2009, 8:29 AM
Raimi needs to take sp,e lessons from jon favreau.. Develope the bad guy/s quickly.. create the conflict.. have a better balance of hollywood and true comicbook lure (as in MORE COMICBOOK and LESS HOLLYWOOD!!!)Dancing and Singer Peter Parker is just dumb.. The Audience cares more about Spiderman and the bag guys than whether or not Peter can handle being a superhero for 1 hr of the movie..
SUPASEGO - 5/30/2009, 6:44 PM
A female villain would be effin lame. We don't need Catwoman and Black Widow and all these female villains turning our superhero movies into a Dawson's Creek "who do I love?!" bullshit episode. LAME.
TeenIdol - 5/30/2009, 9:13 PM
I say it once and I say it a thousand times again. Chameleon and Mysterio with a lead into Lizard for the 5th movie(with Kraven and Calypso).

Chameleon and Mysterio as partners that together, prey on Peter's mind, getting close to the ones he loves, and unravel his sanity. Chameleon builds his robots that act as Peter's lost parents and MJ runs of to LA to be a super-model. Peter is left with Gwen who he is uncomfortable with(and Flash returns and urges him toward Gwen) and meanwhile a feline burglar(BlackCat)is purring up his side. Makes a splendid psychological thriller/action/drama with supervillains that don't have to be superstrong to tear apart our hero at his core.

Mysterio can show him illusions of what he wants and the point of the movie will be making a hard decision between his warm fantasies(and robot parents) and whether or not he's really making a difference in the harsh reality and not just off getting his friends in danger or killed(Harry).

@TeenIdol- Spider-Man has always been a drama, filled with social challenges, and girl problems. Not having that makes the Spidey-series an empty shell of action-tarts. It's about the balance between the two and how each aspect affects the other. If the movie has no substance then it's just 2 hours of empty calories.

Betty -

It is actually spelled Golem. And it is a Jewish myth originating in Prague, which is rumored to have been inspiration for Frankenstein. The Golem in my avatar is from the 1920 silent film starring Paul Weneger and Lyda Salmonova. I encourage everyone to see it. The special effects are lame by our standards today, but sweet compared to anything at the time. Plus there is an especially creepy part where the rabbi summons a spirit to tell him the magic word that will bring the Golem to life. That part still creeps me out. Thanks for noticing the avatar.

TheMyth - 6/1/2009, 5:16 AM
if you really want a good movie. spider-man 4 has to have a lot of villians, but more of sides i mean. lizard has to be the main, but have: mysterio test spider-mans mind, scorpion should be more of a cop against peter, while lizard is peter's friend after all.

kyle dalton - 6/1/2009, 3:57 PM
Spider-Man 4 should go as follows:
We open with spidey fighting a classic small time villain like Shocker, Rhino or Vulture.
Doc Conners loses his arm and becomes the Lizard. Someone (JJJ?) hires a world famous hunter to catch the Lizard. Enter: Kraven.
Spidey crosses Kraven trying to save Conners at which point Kraven realises that Spidey is the more coveted prize and goes for him, with much interest shown by JJJ. Kraven buries Spider-Man and leaves him. Spidey rises from the grave. Have Lizard accidentally die at the hands of Kraven just as spidey shows up with a cure. Spider-Man thinks Kraven killed him intentionally and goes nuts on Kraven. Have him stop and hear Conners in his head, saying something about valuing all life (obviously, have conners say this at the beginning). Spider-Man leaves Kraven to the authorities.

If you could somehow set up Electro and Black Cat for number 5, this would be amazing.
IronDean2099 - 6/12/2009, 6:58 AM
They should make the Spiderman 4 villians Lizard and Kraven, and at the end of Spiderman 4, they show how the symbiote carnage comes to life, and they end it like that.
iSPIDERMANu - 6/29/2009, 7:52 AM
I say that Rammi Brings back Venom in 4, but doesn't use him till 5 and or 6.Take out eddie brock he died in SM3 you have the scorpion/ who gets ass kicked in beginning of movie and goes to doc connors(who's trying to bring back his arm) for help (cuz scorpion never wanted to become scorpion). Scorpion finds left over symbiote which has been moved into a bigger jar because its grown. mac gargan is no longer scropion but is the new venom(SM5). Mean while MJ is in paris for modeling career. Spidey is been busy trying to find Mysterious attacker at ESU (Lizard). JJJ hires Kraven the hunter to find and take out Spidey, but insteads tracks lizard because he thinks its a better game.Spidey brings antidote to lizard but is found dead. spidey goes on rampage. and takes out kraven but has uncle ben's voice saying "Peter, with Great power comes Great responsibility. and leaves kraven tied to a tree in central Park. for peters love life since mj is gone i would bring Gwen stacey who was attacked and killed by the lizard. Felicia hardy comes in as a transfer student from different school.Theirs villain for part 5 Black Cat.
dbgtfan69 - 7/9/2009, 7:02 PM
Spider-Man 5 as i said earlier (SHOW HOW SHE CAME TO BE ANTOHER WAY TO INCORPORATE KINGPIN) Black Cat,have her like harry in part three, villain for about half way through the movie. Have Mysterio and chameleon try and breakup spidey's mind bring back his parents and uncle ben (robots),MJ finds Norman Osborn in europe planning spidermans death. black cat helps spidey they myseterio and chameleon behind bars. SHOW KINGPINS INVOLEMENT(BY NORMAN OSBORN)

Spiderman 6 have the sinister six meet in Crime Central with KingPin as ruler. The sinister six contains VENOM (MAC GAGAN),GREEN GOBLIN (NORMAN OSBORN),Rhino,Shocker, Vulture, Hobgoblin. Have peter learn a lesson of knowing he needs help from BLACK CAT. Spidey also learns that he can't beat them all at once and leans to take each one out one at a time... TA DA MY way to finsih the spider-man series.
dbgtfan69 - 7/9/2009, 7:29 PM
AT the end of # 6 bring back MARY JANE And have her Marry the web-slinger!!!! sorry i forgot to add this..
dbgtfan69 - 7/9/2009, 7:31 PM
