The Avengers Mansion had three above-ground floors and three basement floors. The first three floors were open to the public and have twelve rooms to house Avengers who wished to reside in the mansion. A portion of the mansion's third floor served as a hangar for the Avengers' Quinjets, their primary mode of transportation. The three floors below ground were restricted to the public and had modified rooms for the Avengers' needs. Such rooms below ground were: Tony Stark's arsenal chamber, the Avengers gym, Hawkeye's test-shooting room, the training room (much like the X-Mansion's Danger Room), The cryogenic storage area, and the ultra-secure assembly room. The Mansion was surrounded by a wall twelve feet high and one foot thick, as well as an array of high-tech security defenses. Nonetheless, those defenses were often breached by the supervillains faced by the Avengers.
THE HYDRO BASE/AVENGERS ISLAND
Features
The Hydro-Base is a floating seacraft disguised as a natural island floating off the coast of North America outside US territorial waters. When the FAA revoked the Avengers’s flight privileges from their mansion, they created a private airfield on Hydro-Base. The Avengers later moved their headquarters to Hydro-Base when their mansion was destroyed by the Masters of Evil until they returned to their old base. As an Avengers outpost, Hydro-Base offered its airliner-capable runway, a Research and Development facility including several robots, and a quinjet hangar. Hydro-Base was later destroyed however by Doctor Doom.
STARK TOWER
Features
Tony Stark had originally intended to rent out the ninety lower floors as office space, while using the top three levels as his new, state-of-the-art bachelor pad; however after four years of construction resulted in a striking 1138-foot tall structure which dominated the skyline, Stark found most prospective tenants reluctant to rent for fear that his Avengers ties would lead to attacks by “space aliens”. Since the Avengers needed, Stark decided not to fight these expectations; he determined the Tower would be used by the kind of people who would expect just such an attack. Stark gifted the top three floors to the new Avengers as their home, where members could meet, plan and, if need be, reside. Featuring numerous high-tech security, surveillance, and training devices, Stark Tower is fully equipped to serve the needs of the world's most prominent super-hero team. The tower, in keeping with it's original purpose as a residence for a free-wheeling billionaire, also has a number of amenities for those living there.
The Helicarrier
Features
The Helicarrier is a flying aircraft carrier specifically designed to be itself capable of independent powered flight in addition to the conventional functions of aircraft carriers. It is the signature capital ship of the intelligence/defense agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Though never used as a base for The Avengers the helicarrie has frequently been used for mission briefings and meeting with Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury.
The Triskelion
Features
The Triskelion is S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters and Super-Villain holding facility, and former headquarter of the Ultimates. The Triskelion held cells capable of holding both Magneto and The Incredible Hulk. It is located off the coast of New York City.
