Shia LaBeouf Receives Cease & Desist Letter From Daniel Clowes

After Reports that Shia LaBeouf announced his "Retirement From Public Life" many questioned his integrity. However, prior to his announcement he uploaded the Cease and Desist Letters he received From Daniel Clowes' Lawyer Early Friday. Here is a look at the letter!

Just Jared Reports:
In case you’ve missed the whole story, Shia plagiarized his new short film HowardCantour.com, which was a direct adaptation of a comic written by Daniel. Shia posted the entirety of the cease and desist letter for his fans to read, and even made the image his Twitter cover pic, where he blacked all all of the lettering except “he must stop all efforts to create."

It seems that retirement from public life was the only remaining option for Shia LaBeouf as Daniel Clowes' lawyer has presented a very strong case of copyright infringement and plagiarism by the former Transformers star. The Lawyer asks LaBeouf to "stop all efforts to create."

Read the documents for yourself, did LaBeouf make the right decision? Did he have a choice? Will he still be in retirement in 3 months? Sound off in the comments below.

@STAS

Same here, I was pretty interested in seeing where his character would go in the franchise. But oh well, at least we still have an Uncharted movie to look forward to..in the next century.

I am not following this, But it looks like a red herring, 5 on 50 says that lepoof or whatever is about to announce a movie starring him based on original work. Imagine in a few weeks or whenever, They both come out, "We have decided to work together and make a film". It sounds like a buch of bullshit, And besides who cares about rich peoples problems. Go to court for murder, Get charged for AWADWITK and then lest talk.

It is pretty sad that shai did this but shai will be back, even though most don't care if he does including myself.

@sameoldthing, I strongly concur. This is what it looks like when a grown-assed man throws a [frick]ing tantrum.
