While promoting his upcoming film Monuments Men in an interview with HitFix Matt Damon reveals that he is done filming his parts for Christopher Nolan's upcoming science fiction film Intersteller and reveals that the collaboration between Nolan and Matthew McConaughey will be something great.

Interviewer: I have to ask you, I can't imagine how many people are coming in here and asking about "Intersteller", but what's Chris (Nolan) like to work with?

Matt Damon: Awesome. I hope I get to do it again. Yeah he's uh... he's again.. he's a guy who is working on a very big canvas and there are very few people who can work on that big a canvas and make consistently great movies. I loved, loved, working with him. Matt (Matthew McConaughey) and I had a lot of fun too.

Interviewer: Did anything surprise you about him?

Matt Damon: No, no, he was exactly how I thought he would be and I was just incredibly impressed by him. And you know I think the movie's just going to be great . You know Matthew is the star of the movie and he's just on fire right now and he's really locked in and you know... and I just can't imagine that movie to be anything but great.

On another interview (MTV News) Matt carries on... this time gushing about the performances of Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey.
Matt Damon: All I can say is I don't have a big part. I was just thrilled to work with Christopher Nolan and I had a blast working with him. I really had so much fun. Matthew he's the lead in the movie… talk about being in the zone, he's really just crushing everything right now and I think its just going to be great. I think it's gonna be just another big, awesome Chris Nolan movie with awesome performances from Matthew and Anne."

I can't see the film failing either, at least not when it keeps things as close to the vest as it has so far. But I predict that on this site people will still complain because he made comicbook films that did not respect "DC canon", whatever that is(there are like what 5 canons right now with all those reboots? Pff)and because people jumped on that hate bandwagon when he made a good film but not a great one (TDKR) because they were tired of hearing people praise him when they could not get into his films.
Nubase - 1/24/2014, 2:56 AM
Nolan is a great filmmaker period, he made great movies before the dark knight trllogy and will make great films afterwards.

Visualiza - 1/24/2014, 3:14 AM
Nolan is one Hell of a talented director. Even though information is sparse, I'm really looking forward to this.
TheYoungMan - 1/24/2014, 3:25 AM
@batfan175 I think there was a hate bandwagon for TDKR because of how anticipated the movie was. There was a wagon of haters and a wagon of lovers who made up their minds years before the movie came out. Then the war just got more heated when TDKR got such great reviews and the haters got more loud and desperate, almost as if they felt they had to yell louder to counteract every great review. Just my take on the whole thing. On to Interstellar.
Niklander - 1/24/2014, 3:46 AM
Who gives a shit about TDKR!?It's over movie came saw and is on blu ray and DVD.Bring it on with Interstellar Nolan is an awesome director(Unlike some morons who think that he is like a new fresh air on Hollywood) and one movie which semi dissapointed some fans wont change my opinion about the guy

Can't wait for this film. Nolan has yet to make a film that isn't great.

Does anyone else find it funny that while Ben Affleck is the new Batman, both his best friend and his brother are in Nolan's new film?
Jollem - 1/24/2014, 4:55 AM
sounds great

@TheYoungMan - i'd say it's more that people as a whole liked tdk over iron man 2. there was some ribbing, then the warriors rose up
thespork - 1/24/2014, 5:08 AM
Nolan's best movies are the ones his brother helps him write.
TheYoungMan - 1/24/2014, 5:26 AM
@Jollem Sure, there are some other factors as well. I think his movies will keep getting internet hate until he finally makes a bad one. Kind of the same deal as Tarantino or David Fincher, but more extreme because Nolan doesn't have an obvious black mark on his career like those two do (Death Proof and Alien 3). But of course, the irrational hate of whatever original movies he makes in the future can never compare to the heat that TDK trilogy took in the Marvel vs DC war. Although after a few more great movies, he might move into Spielberg and Scorsese territory where the haters just look silly and decide to stop embarrassing themselves. But until then...

ManOfSteelUK - 1/24/2014, 5:38 AM
Best Director/story teller in the world period.
QuestiontheAnswer - 1/24/2014, 5:39 AM
Each Nolan movie is critically acclaimed and commercially successful, a rarity in film.
Jollem - 1/24/2014, 5:41 AM
@YoungMan - yeah, i was talking more specifically about these parts of the internet jungles, mostly. i think it was just a simple "revenge" thing. my least favorite tarantino movie is inglorious. not bad, but my least fave. waltz owned. i thought deathproof was a neat twist on the b-slasher flicks--empowering the lady-victims and whatnot. nolan is quality

also, voyager 1 recently reached interstellar space. the first time anything man-made has gone that far. i think it'll keep going 'til about 2020, then it shuts off for good. i think that's pretty cool. can't wait to see what this movie's all about
Godzillafart - 1/24/2014, 5:56 AM
Looking forward to this. Nolan's films are almost always fun.
batz11 - 1/24/2014, 6:08 AM
Awesome ensemble cast, again...one thing Nolan always has...MM has always been one of my favorite actors, Amistad one of my favorite performances, True Detective is very good too...
Jollem - 1/24/2014, 6:19 AM
i've read astrophysicists talk about traveling/time traveling through a black hole. ain't no way. no fricking way. what's going to come out the other "side"? the smashed sub-atomic particles left from the insane amount of gravity? good luck trying to make something that'll withstand that much gravitational force, richard branson

Dev7 - 1/24/2014, 6:46 AM
Matthew should play Green Arrow in the JL movie in 2016. Perfect for the role.
BoneSawIsReady - 1/24/2014, 6:46 AM
The Prestige is a great film
knocturnalzen10 - 1/24/2014, 6:47 AM
@bravado
i would say tdk, or prestige ........ but all are above average by far
WhiteBolt - 1/24/2014, 7:04 AM
I have all of Nolan's work except for TDKR...egh
knocturnalzen10 - 1/24/2014, 7:06 AM
tdkr never went the direction it was intend to go because of heath"s death :/
marvel72 - 1/24/2014, 7:10 AM
nolan has made four films worthy of my blu-ray collection.

-memento
-batman begins
-the dark knight
-inception

seen his other movies at least once each & that will be enough for me.
Aquaman9 - 1/24/2014, 7:54 AM
[frick] this... Nolan abandoned the BvS flick for another heads pinning flick half the audience won't understand. Most people didn't understand inception... While people I know still think batman died at the end of TDKR.
DaVinci31 - 1/24/2014, 8:01 AM
Can't wait for this.

Godzillafart - 1/24/2014, 8:04 AM
@Aquaman9: "Most people didn't understand inception... While people I know still think batman died at the end of TDKR". Haha! You have some stupid friends! :)

jk...ish
Godzillafart - 1/24/2014, 8:05 AM
Nolan has yet to make a bad film, IMO. The Prestige was his best, followed by TDK. BB was his worst.
ManDeth - 1/24/2014, 8:10 AM
Damon is really looking old fast. No way he could ever play Bourne again.
JokerEl - 1/24/2014, 8:12 AM
Christopher Nolan: Best director alive.
DylansMyDog - 1/24/2014, 8:13 AM
I'm looking forward to this. We need more smart sci-fi films. Hopefully after the success of Gravity and Interstellar more will get the green light.

I did not care for TDKR but have liked everything else he's done.
ElDarkside - 1/24/2014, 8:15 AM
@davinci - where are those photos from? I haven't seen any of them yet?!? I thought that there was only that extremely vague teaser with Matt staring at the sky talking...

Any links would be greatly appreciated as I need to see whatever is out about this movie.

I need to know more about this movie!!!
Omarvls - 1/24/2014, 8:18 AM
3rd Most Anticipated film of the Year

3 Interstellar
2.Captain America Winter Soldier
1.Guardians of the Galaxy
DeadpoolMikeyXD - 1/24/2014, 8:19 AM
Alright. If someone wouldn't mind, in one sentence, what the hell is this movie about exactly??? *can't watch the video*

s/n The Nolan Batman series was awesome as a whole! I wish they would have related it to the DCCU
ElDarkside - 1/24/2014, 8:20 AM
And I have to say I love all his movies...even the small flaws I have come to accept (bane and Talia's lame deaths mainly)

Everyone should go rent/watch "following" which is his first film and def underrated...

The prestige, moments and inception are such original movie masterpieces...

Nolan needs about 2-3 more and he'll be in the Spielberg Scorsese league IMO...
JasonBlue - 1/24/2014, 8:28 AM
@ManDeth he definitely is, but his acting is getting better and better. Before the Batfleck news broke I actually wanted Damon to be the next Batman... but sadly we ended up with his other half.
DaVinci31 - 1/24/2014, 8:36 AM

It's just an edit from this page I found, pretty sweet stuff though.

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 1/24/2014, 8:36 AM
Too far away for me to get excited right now. But I'm sure it will be great.
wcwpoet - 1/24/2014, 8:38 AM
After Inception and The Dark Knight I'll probably check out anything Nolan does. I don't hold TDKR against him at all.
MrReese - 1/24/2014, 8:43 AM
Nolan will deliver yet again.
batz11 - 1/24/2014, 8:55 AM
@ManDeth, ha, ha...

Damon is really looking old fast. No way he could ever play Bourne again.

I think Liam would like to have a word with you! Think he was about 55 when he did the first Taken ;)
Mike89 - 1/24/2014, 8:55 AM
Cant wait for this movie.
