Mark Hamill called in to the Schmoes Know Podcast last night, and had a blast talking to the guys about his projects past, present and future. Obviously what we're all most interested in his his imminent return as Luke Skywalker in J.J. Abrams Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and though he doesn't really give too much away (obviously), he does drop a few tidbits here and there. For instance, when asked if his initial perception of how Luke would evolve after Return of the Jedi wound up being accurate, he seems to dispel a pretty big rumor that was doing the rounds about the character.

"Well part of the answer to that question… The final chapter indicated Luke would be terribly conflicted and might give in to darker impulses. Maybe in the direction of betraying someone before realizing the error in his ways. I was completely wrong in that assumption."

If you haven't heard the rumor in question, in involves Luke doing exactly what Hamill describes in the first part of his answer... and that's all we'll sat about it! The actor also talks about the contrasting directing styles of George Lucas and J.J. Abrams, his role in Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service, and much more -- so be sure to give the video below a watch (Hamill calls in around the 53:00 mark). You'll definitely want to at least skip to the end (1:13) to hear him say farewell to Schmoeville as the Joker!
