TDKR's Ben Mendelsohn Circles Role In STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE
Various outlets are reporting that brilliant Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises, The Place Beyond The Pines, Starred Up) is in line for a lead role opposite Felicity Jones in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One. More past the jump...
We may not have any plot details for Godzilla director Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One yet, but it looks like we might be able to add another cast member to the mysterious spin-off flick. Word is Ben Mendelsohn (currently stealing the show in Netflix's Bloodline) is being lined up for a major role next to The Theory Of Everything's Felicity Jones, who will apparently play the lead. The news was first reported by Deadline, with THR and The Wrap chiming in so while nothing is set in stone, a deal may not be far away.
Obviously there's no mention of the character he would play (Star Wars stuff is kept secret 'round these parts don't cha know?), but I think it's safe to say that no matter what the role, Mendelsohn would knock it out of the galaxy, far far away (sorry).
