STAR TREK BEYOND Begins Production; Zachary Quinto & Zoe Saldana Get Into Character
Production on the third (well, really the thirteenth) Star Trek movie has commenced in Vancouver, and a couple of cast members have posted some snaps to their social media accounts. See Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana get made up as Spock and Uhura after the jump...
The new Star Trek movie (not officially subtitled "Beyond" yet but it's looking likely) began shooting in Vancouver today, and we have some pics of two of the returning cast members getting into character. For Zoe Saldana that means getting her Uhura hair done, but Zachary Quinto has to endure a slightly more extreme makeover to become Mr. Spock. Say goodbye to those 'brows for a while Zach.
Justin Lin has taken over from J.J. Abrams as director, working from a script by Simon Pegg (Scotty) and Doug Jung. Confirmed new cast members includes Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella. Apparently the production's codename is "Washington."
