Below you can get your first glimpse of the head and shoulders of one of the new aliens that'll be appearing in Star Trek Beyond. We don't know if he (or his race) will feature prominently or if he'll just be a background character, but we get a brief shot of him in the accompanying video which sees Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, and his four-legged friend offer another fan a chance to appear in the movie as part of the Omaze charity contest.
Plot details for Star Trek Beyond are still under wraps, but it was written by Doug Jung and Simon Pegg, is being directed by Justin Lin, and will be released on July 8, 2016.
