Season 6 picks up immediately following the events of last spring's finale when Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) executed Alexandrian Pete (Corey Brill) in front of a shocked town hall meeting. But new threats both inside and outside the community will force Rick, Michonne and the other survivors to reevaluate their roles within the group and take drastic actions in order to protect their people and their new home.

The Walking Dead season 6 premieres Sunday, October 11 at 9/8c on AMC.

I love the new show (even though most think it's slow) and I'm curious to see what's going to happen Season 6 with this one.

I just did a 'Walking Dead' game commission over the weekend:

@TheAmbassador - "Daryl, Glenn and Maggie need to be kilt sometime soon too."

I don't know man I wouldn't mind seeing Maggie in a kilt but Daryl & Glenn not so much. To each is own I guess.

It's tough to compare one season of Flash & Daredevil with five seasons of TWD. If it's comparing each series' first season, I'd wholeheartedly agree TWD is best. Like Andrew Lincoln, my favorite episode was the pilot.

However, as a whole, I think TWD is a lot like Arrow. They started strong & got me hooked, but something changed & they weren't as good-great as they'd been and good-great episodes were fewer & further between. At different points, watching them felt like a chore & I kept watching bc I hoped/wanted them to be good-great again.
It happened with Arrow during the first half of last season. And with TWD, season two was a little too slow a burn for my liking, but season three was better. Season four was when it started to slowly decline for me, the Governor arc especially. The Governor was a great, interesting character & villain, so I get why they wanted more of the Governor, but it should've been better written. How they changed the Governor vs the prison didn't make any sense. They should've had the Governor & his Woodbury army attack the prison like the comic. I never bought into the way they tried to explain/justify this new group of people trusting/believing the Governor, a stranger, enough to go to war with him. Especially, when Rick's proposed deal/peace treaty was far more convincing & believable than how the Governor won over this group. Season five is when I almost gave up on the series. It was just too slow, uninteresting and far too much Carl. No offense to the kid, but he's by far the worst actor of the series & he should have as little screen time/lines as possible. Last season was an improvement, but it was hard not to be. It setup enough potentially interesting storylines to keep watching, but I'm still on the fence. A run of bad, boring and/or slow episodes & I'd give up on Arrow or TWD, I hope that's not the case, but it happened with Dexter. Granted Dexter was on a decline after season three & I quit on it during the second to last season.

I understand what your saying. for me its different though, people see down time(boring) episodes of the walking dead and I actually dont mind it. i like seeing other things happen even if they are just hanging out. My problem with Arrow and Flash is.....sigh....their CW shows, everything about them is just lame to me, the writing, the SFX, the acting, it all seems sub par, to me. I watched 1 episode of Arrow, and t took me like a week to et through it bc i was just bored with it everytime i watched it.
THe governor thing was a complete [frick] up. switching showrunners and such really hurt TWD around that time bc they whole new group thing was handled really bad, they should have stuck to the source material. (the battle for the prison was a thousand times better).
But i do understand where your coming from. I just like the characters a lot more on TWD then i do on Arrow or Flash.

Yeah, that's not me though. I have no qualms with slower/filler episodes, it's what TWD does with their slower/filler epis & how they use them and the stories within them. It's good to slow things down & allow the characters to be fleshed out, reflect and whatever, but TWD doesn't make the best use of them. And the slow episodes that focused on Carl are the worst of the series. In my opinion, the kid is worse than anyone on Arrow/Flash, but worst of all he stands out even more bc the rest of the cast is so much better.

I've mentioned before when I started watching them I knew I had to temper my expectations. You can't...sigh...expect them be something they're not or you'd be even more disappointed. And I have to ask, how many episodes have you seen of the Flash??? I can't help assume/deduce you haven't watched the Flash, because it's sFX are pretty great, especially by TV standards. Hell, Grodd was extremely impressive. The acting on the Flash is noticeably superior to Arrow as well. And I"m not trying to sell you on it or change your, just sharing my opinions.

"THe governor thing was a complete [frick] up. switching showrunners and such really hurt TWD around that time bc they whole new group thing was handled really bad, they should have stuck to the source material. (the battle for the prison was a thousand times better)."

Yeah it was a product of circumstances, but still the changing of the guard was a little different being in-house. Don't get me wrong, I like the Governor a lot & I wouldn't have minded that they deviated from the source material had it been better executed. What we got was disappointing, even more so in comparison to the source material.

"But i do understand where your coming from. I just like the characters a lot more on TWD then i do on Arrow or Flash."

I can't disagree. The actors & characters on TWD are superior to Flash/Arrow. Granted TWD has had more time to flesh out/develop their characters. I mean Carol in season 1, she was the stereotypical abused wife and she was an uninteresting supporting character. However, Carol in season five, holy shith she's almost entirely opposite/different character! She might be the most fascinating & interesting character in the cast at this point. She's a cold blooded, calculated bad ass!!

I havent caught a whole lot on FLASH, i was mostly talking ARROW about SPFX bc i have seen some cool shots from the Flash. Maybe i should give ARROW another chance and just except that i need to bring my standards down a little to approciate it for what it is. but im in the middle of watching two shows on Netwflix so cramming a thrid in right now is a little rough haha maybe one day.
"And I"m not trying to sell you on it or change your, just sharing my opinions."
haha no i got ya. all good

Agreed! its always nice to get something a little different from the show, TWD comic is the only comic series i follow mainly bc its so accessible and easy to pick up since it doesnt have 40 years to catch up on. so getting changes makes the show watchable. but the governor fight could have been handled better. so i agree 100% with you on that.
but anyway good conversation. its nice to know that i can always depend on you to have good movie/tv talk without it getting into a yelling match like alot of ppl do on here. good evening sir
