Neill Blomkanp Unveils His New ALIEN Pulse Rifle

"Remember, short, controlled bursts..." Though Ridley Scott maintains his Prometheus sequel, Alien: Paradise Lost, will shoot first, Neill Blomkamp is also forging ahead with his Alien flick. Take a look at one of the updated Pulse Rifles we'll see in the movie..

Though anticipation seems to have stalled somewhat after the lukewarm reception to Chappie, South African director Neill Blomkamp is still working on that Alien movie, and he's posted a new BTS snap to his Instagram account. The Pulse Rifle was introduced in James Cameron's Aliens, and was the weapon of choice for the Colonial Marines in that movie. Obviously military weaponry won't have changed that much for this next installment - which might well wind up being a direct sequel to Aliens, after all - aside from an added RIS (Rail Interface System).

We all knew there would be pulse rifles. Obviously. Now with added RIS

The tentatively titled Alien 5 doesn't have a release date yet, but Alien: Paradise Lost will hit theaters in 2017.

NO!

Blomhack just sucks, Alien 3 -Assmebly Cut- was a masterpiece, if he doesn't know how make a real sequel from that and instead he just want wet fanfiction retelling then he's the wrong person to handle the Alien franchise.

While I loved District 9 and thought Elysium wasn't that bad, I'm being to think Blomkanp may be a one hit wonder after watching Crappie.

Blomkanp needs to do a great film and fast.

Desr0w - watched assembly cut and was unimpressed by the shoddy editing and inclusion of rough unfinished effects. Like the Donner cut of Superman 2, compelling but in the end unsatisfying. Final 3rd of Alien 3 was abominable no matter who's cut. Hated Lance ' s silly return.

Ok D9 was great, Elysium was forgettable and at last Crappie.

33% That the movie will be great, hope so, impossible do worse than Prometheus and Resurrection.

Like many other films, I don't let RT be the judge of this guy's craft in film making. though I won't say that Chappie was a flawless film it was at least a 7/10 for me. It just seems like writing is this guy's problem the way he carries over tension through numerous acts of his storytelling seems to get too caught up in the wow factor surrounding the characters circumstances than the actual characters themselves. I'm interested to see where his love for the franchise takes him, he AND his wife has a huge compassion for the franchise and him loving the first two films eases a bit of caution from my shoulders.

Nice but I have a better sight on my M4 . It uses radioactive tritium gas tubes and fiber optic wires to have the perfect glowing reticle 24/7 with no need for batteries
